Wonnyys guide works great. Even though I have two solo females still it’s been working as expected. Rates are spawning properly, I’m not doing hm so my foxes vary a lot in trophy rating but overall it’s pretty even from what I’ve seen

One of the solo females is only a 2 so I was thinking about jsut keepign her. Since my females never spawn that low in pairs

Try just exploring the maps and leveling up, learn about animal classes and levels. Get a wide range of guns and stock ok cash. It’s gonna be slow at first but it’s gonna make it easier when you decide yo go for something more complex

Grinding, if you want to get any dlc it’ll be the tents and tripod dlc so that you can use both tents and tripods to grind, but they’re super expensive which is why doing missions is important when you first start.

As for great ones there’s a few different species, some are easier to get than others but they all spawn at random from male respawns. So what may take someone 500 kills for them to get their great one to spawn may take you less or more kills. It’s all luck of the draw with rng

Basically the way fox pairs works is that when you shoot one but not the other, the one you shot can’t respawn until you shoot the other.

I like Wonnyy do the fox island method. They shot all of the males out of the pairs on the right side of the map and left the females. They then managed down solo males on the right side of the map. Since then they’ve had consistent lvl 7 respawns which they hadn’t gotten previously.

Nope, so when you swap pairs you have to shoot one of the two and claim it per normal. That will force it into the respawn purgatory. Do not shoot the other yet.

Give it some time (basically do a normal run)

Come back to the pair and shoot the other, do not claim.

Go to your solo female, shoot and don’t claim.

Main menu

Come back and reset time and do a run or two.

It may have to be done a couple of times but it’s worked for me and Wonnyy so far

I’ve had better luck pair swapping then solo swapping personally so far
