Had that happened a couple of times, I don’t really have a definitive answer, sometimes entering my trophy lodge, leaving and entering the map. Sometimes I had new only male zones and for some reason they were doing something to the other zones.

I don’t really know why it happens, it feels like the game just knows when you are getting too consistent on you main zones and just forces you to change it.

I don’t stack but if I had to give you an answer it’s just about what you’re comfortable with, if you have enough exteriors managed down and you’re good to start shooting, then you can cull them, but if not keep stacking if you can/want to
