yeah those are good, always leave the small ones alone if they are not in your main zones

You can always experiment a bit, as long as you have you main lakes full of males, trying to lower the level sof the outside ones wont hurt

I mean if you have a small male on you main zones you can try to swap it. The thing about swaping males with males is that sometimes is hard to tell if it worked. What I would do is stack max weights on the main lakes and then do a couple of runs in the outside shooting any male above level 5.

short answer yes but the game considers the other animals in you map and the level of the animal you kill in consideration. So if you killed a max weight it has better chance to respawn as a big one. Also if your map is full of small males, the game will try to balance your population by spawning more big ones. Thats basically why you do herd managment, you stack a lot of small males in zones you dont want to hunt so that way the animals in the zones you hunt have a better chance to be bigger, therefore a better chance to be diamond.
