Yeah they changed bears time last update but you had to manually go about and shoot them to get them to reset to the day time but people didnt like the concept and didnt work way they wanted so they did a full bear pop reset

I dont really know that I am doing anything special. Just focusing on areas where I can see far enough to locate them. Seems pretty often you dont get respawns till you kill a whole herd (getting some male respawns in the herds with females but not always) - so setting up on the mountain tops I can see far enough and well enough to locate the new zone. Its usually close by

Hunted tahr for two hours, gave up. Can’t glass from ridge tops like you normally would to hunt them because of the superbly short render distance. Saw only 1 solo tahr on the ridge tops, rest were deep in the brush. Try to sneak up on them, brush is so thick you can’t even spot them before they spook. Either move their feed zones to the tops of the ridges or give them a drink zone. Having a species/GO that doesn’t have drink zones is totally fine but the way this was implemented was just poor decision making imo
