The point is that most lvl 4s don’t make it tho. Same as most lvl 2 whitetail

Out of all the diamonds I shot I had only maybe 5-10 massive lvl 4s make it

So therefore it’s not wise to expect a lvl 4 to be a diamond, unless obviously it’s one of the rare guarantees

Certain grinds are easier than others in people’s opinion because of other reasons. In general a go is rng therefor one person may get a go black bear in 4500 kills and a moose in 200 while another person may get a bear in 150 and a moose in 3800

all that happens is if you havent blown the zone it a male will come back

if you have it may go to another zone group or single.

just goes where there is space

many people often assume they arent getting respawns they are

but there is many varibles which can make it seem like there arent

the animals are on your map somewhere

sometimes they dont come back also on one day or closing the game

so you have to fast forward the time maybe 1 - 4 days

most normally come back as above in one day fast forwarded or..closing exiting game and starting again

Well I mean to have the most efficient HM grind I think you should work with all zones at elast at some point in your grind. First off for HM you should really start by chasing solo male zones that arent a level 2 or below for really hardcore HM. You can do this by killing your solo males and then going and refiniding them and killing them all until they are fully managed down (level 2 and below). Once all solos are managed then you can move on to your exterior zones. These are zones that arent solos and yet you dont want them to be your main zones. You will grind these until they are fully managed down or to a point where you are happy to where they have came. Then you can set up at your main zones and your grind is a fully hardcore HM grind. Now remember this is hardcore and takes a long time to get to this point, its your choice if you want to take HM that far, while the results produce several diamonds and increases the chance of super rares it takes quite a while to get here. If you dont want it to take as long and dont care about getting more diamonds ect, then the only thing you gotta do is manage down the bucks less, just be sorta "lazy" with it.

They way the game works right now with deer moving zones it’s harder than ever to just focus on 8 zones, I’ve been having to constantly move stuff around cause I’ll have a few move out to exteriors

Managing solo zones for fallows was the worst thing I tried to do, I only managed to manage half of the solo zones until they no longer spawned on the map, I had approximately 34 2s and I had to create a new game

See but if your doing HM, I think you do need to manage zones. If you dont care about which zones are you main zones and which are exterior then it will get all mixed up and make the grind more chaotic and complicated later on. If I have a few managed down bucks in my main zones then its just gonna get more complicated right? Rather than having all zones that arent mains managed down and then your mains will have shooting bucks and shooters only. Its pretty simple, just like sorting anything really. Say 2s and belows are red blocks and shooter bucks are blue blocks. I want to sort all of the red blocks till they are in their own zones which are the exterior zones the ones you dont want to grind, and all the blue blocks into the main zones which you do want to grind. I just think you shouuldnt/dont want them mixed cuz then it can get way more confusing for players that want to do HM yet dont fully understand it.

I dont overly understand what you are saying. I dont see how moving your herds and animals around which are apart of different herds is easier than setting up on a zone you dont overly love, grinding it until its only low level males than leaving it and setting up at a zone you do like and shooting every male is harder. I'd say this is way more easier, than moving zones and mixing up all your animals as you just stated you spent a whole year on that. Dont you think as a new player or new grinder that killing an animal over and over just until its smaller is an easier way to explain zone managing rather than trying to explain how to get a buck to be apart of a different zone and swapping all of these deer until you have it just the way you want it? I dont know. I think more in depth descriptions help a player much more as long as its not a confusing description, I believe my first big message wasnt confusing at all just more in depth. i got 30 diamond red deer moved them around the map from all there locations to same lakes

more like a experiment

then killed them stacked another 30 diamonds

you cant get any simplier than just killing level 3 and above

indepth info can be good but it can also overwhelm new players

so better off learning basics first then move onto more complicated techniques later once the basics are understood

many even still get basics wrong. never mind herd management which even when managed can still swap zones

For anyone who has done bears, I’m currently just trying to swap bears into my 4 lakes. Should I swap my males from the 5th lake into the four lakes?

I have a question, how many kills did it take for u to get a GO Moose?
Because my grinds are getting worse and worse 4.5 k for a GO fallow and im at over 3 k for moose

The hard answer is that it all boils down to RNG

Some people see them within 10 kills

some people push into the thousands

Wym getting worse and worse? You mean like your doing gm and your not seeing as many dimes as you’d like or you mean that’s its just taking a long time

Yep so i did shoot nearly every male down to lvl 2 but my dimes still spawn not consistent and my rng is just bad

Also consistency isn’t moose specialty (atleast for me)

What I’d do is go around your map and check exterior zones, moose weren’t consistent for me aswell, I had to keep moving zones until I eventually spawned a g1. Also make sure your river is managed if you don’t plan on hunting it.

And if your hunting 8-10 zones your on the right track for a g1 anyways. Dimes can be nice but your going for the big thing which spawns at random.

you can move any animal in any reserve to where you want

just depends on how many and a bit of time

bears are easy as there isnt many

so pretty simple

as with hm you seem to get a lower average to spawn a GO

i think its either it spawns higher of a bigger trophy or its weight related or the levels need to align

the level part imagine it simply like this you have 12345689 but no 7

you could shoot all the others and still not have the 7

but if you have the levels aligned

then get a 7 maybe its complete and a go spawns

one of a few theories but i dont think its random at all

also at end of herd management you see a lot of people only shooting smaller amount of higher levels

which tends to lean to more gos

I’ll rephrase my question, at the moment I’m just swapping males into my 4 main lakes, however for my 5th lake do I shoot the males and swap them into my main lakes or no.

shoot down groups then leave places open

thats all it is then when groups move or animals you want there leave them there

I’d prefer to not experiment rn, that’s why I asked “anyone who has done bears” also it’s not really something I think I can experiment with. If you grind bears, should I swap a female from my main lake into the 5th lake.

You can try to swap males and females to spots you want them to be the problem is since bears are all 1 Bear zones they can end up any where on your map

Does anyone know off hand if you can swap single zone fallow males with females or do you have to try and swap higher levels with level 2 males?

Tbh i dont really care about the dimes but i noticed my rng got much worse over the last year. The goal is to get a G1 but it feels impossible after 3k+ kills with only 19 dimes and 1 rare in 2k kills

My fallow grind was long too ( over 4 k ) but at leadt i shot 150 dimes

Also I’m not grinding in mp, I was using this photo to count my zones earlier and my friend was trying to help me find a couple of zones

Now every now and then when I shoot a male else where and can’t find him in the spot I took him from he will sometimes show up there

And then how do I get 10-15 males into my main zones? Do I just shoot males from exterior until they respawn there

If I go 2 or three rotations and still hadn’t seen him that is usually where he is

And he usually come in way late

So respawns are kinda iffy for bear?

No they show up on map as soon as you claim the animal it’s just there is only 2 spawn points and since Sri has all the steep mountains it takes a while for them to get to where there going

If you look at the map and decide it into 4 with a cross each one of those quarters used to have up to 3 respawn points
