what you try to do is get lower levels how you do it is up to you

there are many methods to achieve the same thing

regardless of if you manage those zones or not

you will still end up with the same scenario with you ending up visiting shooters

you can shoot them if you want and reorganize your zone or leave em them and find a new main zone

generally though moose seems to be a short grind more times than not

there’s still long moose grinds that people have had but i believe most people consider moose to be a shorter grind than most especially when herd managed

I'm currently on the red deer grind and it's well controlled in Awaroa, but when I go to see the fallows it's full of a herd with just one male and many females, I believe I'll have a lot of work to do when I go to do the fallows grind

as you need a certain amount to push up to level 4 and above

i actually believe there is a certain amount for level 3s level 4s then it wont shrink at all which is what ive been trying to find out for a long while

i think all it is is some go up some go down on your levels

so high 3 becomes a 4 on respawn

low 3 can go down or stay the same

same with 4s and so on

maybe with herd management once you get to a certain level take 3s for eg. the lowest 3 alive is the 3 score. so the number doesnt shrink if you get what i mean i think my fallows are at that point right now tbh

as all the game does is just balance out what i got regardless of whether its a 3 or 4

then some push up to 5 or go

It’s extremely possible it’s just bad luck that your not getting a lot of 4’s or 5’s

You could try finding a zone that has some extremely low 3’s and leaving them. Or if they have let’s say 2 extremely low 3’s and 1 low 3, shooting the low 3 and leaving the 2 extremely low might help you

Some 3’s are better off being treated as 2’s

some people wont shoot low 3s but they will go down to twos

on fallows you should end up with about 20 shooters by end of hm

which will balance out between 3s and 4s left then 5s or above when they spawn

when you get to that point you should get diamonds every few kills especially if shooting bigger 4s

my last run i shot 5 big 4s 3 came back as diamonds

i have a population of 63 male fallow and 40 of them are level 2s and small 3s

so i have 23 shooting males and i am still lowering them

on te awaroa if thats where you are there is roughly 80 males

im at 20 and been at twenty for a few months.

the difference is some people wont shoot small 3s so say they arent shooters but if you shoot those down to twos you will get to 20 males left

then all the game does is balance those out between 3s and 4s and 4s go up to 5s or diamonds or GOs

on killing my last 3 go fallow 2 respawned as level 4 golds. one as a diamond
