my red deer herds have stopped spawning males, I have the same problem as when I was hunting fallow

It's amazing how only my game gets bugged

I played for 10 days to get 80 4s red deer males

every effort to have a broken grind at the end

when I kill two males from a herd it takes a few days for them to come back

I have some herds with only one male now🤡

if on steam try validating files

if that validates it then will be fine.

it normally only takes 1 day fast forwarding time

but it does depend on where you do it at certain places as doing at a place you maybe hunting at may not respawn them or show them

also the time you go in the grind. certain areas will be early some will be later.

Some of my zones broke down out of no where, and so i went looking and found 2 new zones with 1 doe and 3 bucks in each. Seems ok enough to grind. The respawns are still terrible though as far as not respawning consistently.

@vernal basalt Sometimes they can move to another zone, whether it's a group or a solo zone on the border of the map somewhere but there should always be some sort of buck In your zone. I have one zone that goes to doe only for fallow deer then later on it gets one buck in it

Yeah that sounds about right. For fallows on te awaroa once u get 5 or 6 diamonds stacked (will take a while) u are making really good progress and alot of your 3s are gonna turn to level 2s

I just found a zone after 30+ great ones on Revontuli. It had 20 deer in it….i also necked a few females during that time which was most likely the contributing factor. If you haven’t done that, then chances are you in fact missing a zone.

I found mine in a spot where they’ve never been before.

took me over 6 thousand with HM for red deer alone

i just spawn hundreds and hundreds of diamonds instead and claim my kills

and fallow deer i cant even get to HM right cuz my map maxes out at like 2-3 diamonds at once despite having 70-75% of my map level 2s so i cant push it any further

We dont know that...commons were a thing at one point...so I assume Ultra Rare moose were a thing for a few weeks until they made it to where furs were given with each GO. I've never heard of one being shot but I do think it was possible....BRIEFLY

Killing doe WT will almost certainly create a new zone(Killed 41 GO WT), Killing a female cow moose is super detrimental also to your grind. It will cause all your stable herds to lose males at some point. (Learned after 21 great one grinds) Killing a hind or doe fallow doesnt hurt your grinds too much if at all. The others however are detrimental.

Ok, so from my experience grinding whitetail. If you shoot a female in a zone and she dies. She can and has taken up to 3 male respawns with her and made a new zone. It doesnt happen 100% of the time. But it absolutely does happen. To say that if you properly manage this or that or whatever is misinformation in itself. Shooting a doe while grinding whitetail can absolutely effect your grind. If it is being said that this wont happen as a fact. It is a bold face lie. Just saying.

personally, I do see a difference. when I accidentally shoot a female during a WT grind, regardless of map, there is a high chance, that doe will form another herd in another new zone. typically a nearby area

When you are doing a HM grind, and you accidentally shoot ONE female, 99% of the time, for whitetail, it creates a new zone and I stop getting consistent respawns right away. That has been my experience with whitetail. I did do a video on it and showed exactly what happened when I did. Maybe if you shoot more females, it won't. I have no idea cause I don't shoot does. But when you shoot one, that's what happens.

Funny thing that, EW never left classic to make cotw, they created a new studio. Just as we did with the Angler. This way one project doesn't affect the other.

Having said that we aren't in that process. Cotw has a ton of life left with lots to come.

2 different studios. sure they both fly under the EW banner but everything else is separate. cant compare what one game is getting to another. they are both at different points in their life and have different driving factors. theHunter is at a point of trying to make big improvements and bring a different level of quality. Angler is still in the fledgling stages finding out who it is so to speak. its fun to watch both games evolve tbh!
