Not really. On your own map you know exactly where your herds are once you locate them, they’ll be there every single time that zone’s time starts
That’s the principle behind grinding, to repeatedly check your zones, shoot a few animals then check for respawns

As far as we know, herd management doesn’t affect GO spawn rate as it does with diamonds, so it’s more efficient to simply kill everything
