Oh yeah you’ll probably get like 20-30 before you get a G1 with or without here management, I ended up with 41 diamond WT before I got a great one and only did Hm part of the time

Moose on pretty much every map drink everywhere there’s water. All it takes is time

But you can use tripods with the tent method. You spawn right next to them, get on the tripod and kill 4 or 5. It's costly and really time consuming to place all the tents tho

It only works with upland birds because they all take a few seconds to flush, so you have enough time to get ready

Kind of worrying in a selfish way I guess. I enjoy this hunting game because it was a near perfect balance of realism and fun (imo), and in the past the large majority of players would have agreed with me. Recently, I’ve noticed a shift in the community that the game needs to be more realistic and less “arcady”. This worries me because I believe it will cause the game that I enjoy to become less and less fun as time goes on. The devs listen to the community and if the community is wanting realism then that’s what the game will shift towards.

Besides i do like the content COTW has. Making it more realistic is awesome imo. I dont think those who like grinding are going to be as hindered as some may think. People will adapt and get better at shooting in order to compensate i think

There are very few games developed to this level as far as hunting goes. The company that developed Way of the Hunter developed it as more of an “engrossing” hunting game, while Call of the Wild is more trophy based, as @tiny kestrel has mentioned a few times.

You still had to strategically place yourself relative to the animals if you wanted to maximize the amount of harvest you would get from any given lake. Now, many lakes are impossible to do this as the increase in spook range reaches quite far.
