Well after the Finland update great ones got a whole lot more rare as it wasn't uncommon for there to be 15 to 20k kills without a great one. Since the update it is unheard of and people are only killing a few thousand or hundred

I don't think so. This theories come up every couple months and I blame no one for spreading them but sometimes it's just the combination of luck and more people playing the game.

before people were having to shoot multiple thousands and now with good grinding you can often get them under 1000

so you will see more

for red deer anyways

I have something I’ve wanted to try for my runs with whitetail. Because of the way Layton’s laid out, those 40+ zones are very spread out

So instead of putting tents at each few zones, I’m gonna have routes. I place my tent so that it covers like 2 zones, run in one direction that has a few zones, do all my shooting, fast travel back and then go in the other direction

It should help me cover all my zones pretty effectively

But with purge method, it’s roughly one every hundred kills or so
With herd management it’s about one every 10-30 kills

I did it just on red deer but I've seen videos where they did it on black bear, RME, whitetail or moose so I think it's possible for any species.

Let’s say there are 150 stags on Te Awaroa. What would herd management look like if you were able to get 140 of them to be lvl 2s, what would that make herd management look like. What if 149 of them were 2s? Would it be a guaranteed diamond respawn? Or would it still be a 10-20% spawn chance?

I highly doubt this is even realistically possible but I still wonder if it would have a large effect on herd management or a relatively small effect.

I have around 120 lvl 4 and below with roughly 35 of those being lvl 3s and 0 lvl 2s, my spawn rate for diamonds has been around 10-12% over the last 1500 kills or so

I imagine that it’d be possible to get up to like 130-135 minimum weights, then keep stacking 9s until all your other stags are diamonds

I also doubt that with 149 lvl 2s the spawn rate would be 100%, but I wonder if it would make a big change or if it would just increase the spawn rate to around 15-20%

This is what I thought, but then I randomly got 2 more non shooters and saw a seemingly drastic increase in my spawn rate

Haven’t started gathering the data on my new spawn rate but my initial estimates are around 18%, but I’m sure this is high
