im in the states so my bark of choice will probably end up being willow

as a note if you gather bark you have to take it from living trees

the tannins leech out of dead wood as it dries

then you take the bark boil it in a bigger stove pan

something like a dutch oven

pour the solution off after boiling (time depends on amount but ive heard mainly over an hour)

into a 5 gallon or 10 gallon bucket

can do smaller if you want especially since youre not doing big deer

then drop your prepared rawhide into it and wait

stir it every now and then
