I would say teaching is more the knowledge but a skill acquired through practice

It’s easier to learn from someone who has the skill ingrained than someone who just knows stuff

You can know everything on a subject but to express that knowledge uniformly and comprehensively is a whole different thing

Like when I teach ceramics that’s me having to try to explain this physical skill that none of these people have a grasp on and the most I can do is really tell them the techniques to do and suggest different ones and then demonstrate if need be how to do something.

Very true I learned how to hunt in roughly 6 hunts through a mixture of hands-on, watching, and listening

I also technically been watching hunting videos for years but I learned more in those six hunts than I ever learned from the videos

And I suppose it’s the same as people on the guest days when they come to the club and we teach them how to shoot so that they can shoot safely and enjoy it

My favourite are people who ask a lot of questions and really engage with it

I’m ngl watching other people hunt is tiresome and doesn’t always give the best advice

Funnily enough my favorite person to watch hunt is a guy named eric forrester who’s a big upland guy

As for duck hunters I’ll watch calling videos and mimick them and then the sounds that birds actually make to call better

That makes sense I don’t do much calling it’s mostly spot and stalk for deer but we do occasionally pause at certain spots and times of the year to try call bucks

However i’ve always shot everything from about 100 yards

Except the fox I think that was roughly 70

Most of my learning how to shoot was watching the guys do their thing and then asking question

I’m not huge on people who take far shots unless there skilled

And even then it’s still debatable

And if all you do is shoot from afar your lacking in other areas

It’s the equivalent of me taking someone to jump shoot ducks who has no idea how

Mostly we try to get close to be as close to your 0 as you can

We don’t do all the dialling

Even in Scotland some of the furthest shots will be 300 yards almost a maximum

I've recently upgraded my racing rig from a Logitech G920 to a Moza Racing R5. Decided that the SRP-llite pedals are not that great, as they are smooth steel sheets. So I 3D-printed my own. Here's the gas pedal, as that turned out quite cool.

ive just discovered via my NDIS LAC (person with NDIS who helps me) that my formal autism diagnosis aparently was done on an outdated diagnostic criteria instead of the DSM 5 and my LAC ended up writing a "strongly worded email" to the psychiatrist now going "wtf guys why tf did you not use the dsm5 are you dumb and plus you literally gave him a diagnosis which is in accordance with the DSM 5 and yet you didn't use the DSM 5 so did you use the DSM 5 or not and if so send us the DSM 5 evaluation and if not then like actually evaluate him with the dsm 5 as you should have you monkeys"

spent 900 dollars to get a fraud diagnosis smh

if I need to get re evaluated though it should be free because it's their mess up

it might mean I'll actually be in accordance with L2 support needs instead of l1 (the initial diagnosis) since they seemingly didn't use the DSM 5 though
