There is 4 different enemy types.

First you have Automatons. Imagine you’re fighting the CIS from Star Wars but they have turret guns build into them. Some automatons carry flares to get dropships; shoot those first if you see them.

Then you have the Illuminate. Also called Squids. They’re kind of like the Elite/Flood from Halo, except they’re blue. There’s these flying rhombus shaped things called Overseers that come with this enemy types as well, which will beam you with a purple light. Always shoot the Overseer down first if you see it because it will send up flares if left alone, then you gotta deal with even more squids.

Then you have the Terminids. Also called bugs. Lovingly. While they’re a broad category enemy type I’m splitting it into three sub-categories since there are a LOT of different kinds, without spoiling them because what fun is it when you already know everything? You have all the little guys; which are mostly normal.

Then you have the medium sized ones. They take longer to kill and need to have medium armor penetration guns used against them.

Then you have THE BIG DUDES. Which need high armor penetration to take down and for you to aim for very specific spots. Will I say what they are? No. You aren’t bringing proper democracy if you aren’t panicking

Fourth enemy type? Your teammates. Be expected to receive and accidentally dish out damage or death from your own teammates. This usually occurs with stratagems but sometimes you’ll run into somebody that’ll kill you for the hell of it without reinforcing.
