well I ended up trying one final bid to get my father to transfer ownership of my car to me which didn't work (so the only option is for him to take it to civil court if he wants to take the car from me) but I did end up in our conversion get an ultimatum after I said "I paid for all the registration and insurance and maintainance for the car" that he said something along the lines of "I'll cover the cost of the registration and insurance to take the car back" which I mean yeah please and thank you that would mean he's paying me near 4000AUD+4000AUD (insurance and rego), 1000AUD for new rotors and pads/oil/filters and the 6000aud that he didn't cover in the original 8000aud purchase of the car (he only covered 2000) so I would get like 14000/15000 dollars for a car now worth 6000

of course there's no chance hell actually say yes to that agreement in court when he eventually tries to get it back if I propose it butnon the off chance he does I would not mind getting 15000 dollars to buy a new car to upgrade from my 6000 (current value) car

also he ended up breaking the rules of my mum's restraining order too after that ordeal soooo he's also gonna get fined 6000 dollars
