but ultimately the market for it is going too well to fold
angler was struggling there, as much as people loved it which was a bummer because it truly had so much potential.

That said, the team on CotW is much larger and has a stronger history (8 years and going!) and overall has a much stronger sales presence

And honestly I don’t understand that from a player base standpoint. Fishing worldwide is a much more broad and accessible past time. The only thing I could think of is the game was more arcadey

I think part of it was once you caught all the fish, the "goal" kinda ended - so like, the gameplay loop is limited.

and sitting there catching fish on repeat is only so enthralling in a game when that's the main grab.
I think the "competitions" were a good ddirection, but they only JUST touched on it

(some bait, lures etc that you could choose from, or some coins)
