It's more about association than training per se.
It's why I suggested feeding tongs the other day.

With feeding tongs, your fingers do not smell like food
and they associate the tongs with snaccs and your hands with pats

A lot of strikes are either fear based, or food based
They don't bite just to mess with you, because thats p much their sole offense - and they can lose teefs from it.
