Got a new photogrphy book of above veiws of Yosemite national park.. what a great inspiring mountain map it could be to hunt in cotw, sure we have silverridge peaks, but this winter landscape and bright blue rivers and scree and shale slopes would be a great adition for a full winter landscape variation for a playabke map, now my 1st vote is for a winter euro map ofc, but this setting is a winner to me. 😃

Fishing trip to new zone, its Jackson's bay, in Barry. Arriving late to the venue at sunrise, mum and I got to try out my new rigs, but it didn't do so well.. only striped hooks and nibbles but no takes and plenty of tangles.. but i still got all my rigs back intact, so its back to the drawing board with them.. the lighthouse breakwater was closed access so the beach rocks it is following the withdraw of the tide.. bearing the freezing cold and on off showers.. despite the unseasonal mild tempreture of over 5c.. we still had no fish, and forced home 2 hours early as a new stormfront suddenly arrived almost blowing us off the rocks with its gale and grotting me with my hat, lets hope tusdays pike day fairs better. Its called fishing not catching.

It's the one animal that i really want to find in the wild, they are a bit smaller than normal red deer, but they are also very vocal, the thing that makes them so rare is that they live in the border with Tunisia, and the land there is kinda swampy and hilly , they also moved to some other states which are easier to traverse but they are still incredibly hard to find

@gleaming fable ta very much, fishing to me is a mental health apointment, but rather sitting in a stuffy offece listiening to a quake scratching his pen staring at you with bored eyes and after hours of your crying and ravings can only suggest reveiwing my mediciene and thus wasting my time after months of waiting, more and more people have found just getting yourslef outside and being constructive in a hobbie in nature like fishing is one of the best medicines you could ever subscribe and needs no docters servce.. its so good even our NHS are now subrcribing fishing as a hobbie for mental and trama pataints.. you just can't fault it. as for my hair this ever greasy mop on my heads driving me crazy. can't tie it back properly as it keeps breaking, can't keep it clean for long and its cosntantly in my mouth, caught in my hood and zips.. and i'm molting like a beaver wit mange.. its to fradgile to work with and i look stupid with short hair. i just don't know what to do wit it.. 😣

Zoot was found at the dump, in a beat up shoe - guy who was working the crusher brought him to the pet store I ws working at and said 'The rehab folks said they wouldnt take him and I dont know what to do.'
He was so icy cold, so I tucked him into my shirt to warm him up quick and that was that. He stayed with me 9-11 weeks I think? I used my mini chicken coop to reassociate him with the outside

Their body fur is so silky soft, and the closer to their nose you get, the more bristly it feels. Their whiskers are kinda like cat whiskers and their tails feel silky as babies, but as they age, it fluffs up more.

So it wouldn’t be called “mela” in a pigeon; it would be considered “self black”
Especially since his peets are red; if truly melanistic, the scaling on hims peets would be black as well.

That said, I believe “black” is an offset of the blue gene in pigeons - and given the white primary/primary coverts - I would call it a “barless blue(black) rock dove”

I don’t think “pied” exists as a term in pigeon coloration - as they have terms more like “grizzle(d)” and “splash” (solid color with white intermittently spread through it) - and lots of breed standards require portions of the bird to be white (Lahore, Nuns, Silesian/Tiger/Saxon, Magpie etc)

Hurray for frogs, i took a gamble of a break in the weather, and took action back to the dike once again.. this tine driven with full determination that even the breif bliazzads couldn't stop me finishing.. the dike is totaly full of spawn now.. so i had to work around the spawn, so by digging a second 3ft deep hole.. i dug it fully out the slowly and carefully breached the middleground allowing thr spawn to wash into the next hole opening the ground area for me to split fully opening the bassageway and finaly connecting the deep pools together fully accessable and save deep enough for the taddies and frogs to survive a sudden late frost and just in time too.. and as i cleaned up i used my big muddy shovel gloves as giant frog paws and gently brushed the spawn collected on the surronding grass into the water to save as much of the next gen as i can.. found a few nature freinds and creeps while enjoying my cold wet and backbreaking workout and all before 11.am in the words of Morgen Freeman, "some if the happiest people come home stinking to high heaven at the end of the day" if it means fishing and working to save the enviroment i want to be one of thosr people.. i'll return soon to finish widening and deeping the center passage before the spring hatches the spawn.. 🐸🥰

Well my fishing trip turned into desaster but i didnt come home empty handed, being an angler is also about becoming another guadian for nature, and the steep risky breakwater was full of lost and littered rigs by the unlucky and less plesant worded anglers.. so i collected as much as i could reach and pull free.. and once home spent ages cutting it all up into safe small peices to despoae saftly and no longer a threat to nature.. lost x2 of my own rigs out off the rocks along with their weights.. sad day.. but humbled all the same.. tip plan your venue better, than what other anglers vids and hearsay..

After returning late, i realesed the unsed worms and live penned the monster for checking out with the worm society.. as just like a rancher who loves his livestovk, i love my garden and its prime stock of worms which i intentlt cultavate..

I found an injured grey currawong. A bit of a story with this. In the image it's in the bathtub with a heat pack wrapped up in a towel while we figured out what to do. In the end we brought it to the vet, under the assumption it had been hit by a car. It did, when the vet inspected it, it's wing was completely shattered and it had a paralysed leg. Sadly it had to get put to sleep but I'm happy I saved it from suffering any longer than it did.

Had to carry it home for 20 minutes while it was screaming in pain under my jacket but this is the best outcome for it's situation

😣😥😭 i missread the sign, the cold snap turned the air so cold that despite the sun and multible layers of trousers and tops, my fingers were numb in their gloves and could barly put my maggots on the hook.. and worse the buffeting wind is so bad its made fishing impossable and almost lost my leather hat in the lake, and even my large carp mat was being dragged in by the gusts.. sunny and bright but all the anglers have quit today and none of my club could stay for as much an hour its a right off.. 😔

😄 yeah canals make great pike habitats here in the uk.. most pike stalkers turn to them when the weathers good or in winter when they want a good days piking specaly if their ok catching the snaller jack pike, canals can be plagued by them some years.. but its also good fun, and you never know how big it will be when after x6 or so small 3lbers your bait suddenly slams down the mouth if one over 15lb 😄 dream fun..

Just came back from work clearing my new garden, broken glass, shattered wood.. jagged rusty metal.. a jungle of nasty brambles and swinging a sledge in large slippery thunder and hail as sharp as lego.. with no coat.. some would call it a hazard .. i just laughed as zues blessed my cold coffee with ice from heaven.. and yes i lifted giant frames of metal with my scranny arms.. im built like a willow but stubban as one too.. 🤠

That was the old steel and wood shed long taken into jumunji of thorns and spiders.. rust, glass, woodworm dust.. thorns.. and lots more .. soon to be a raised pond with glass veiwing side.. in a veggie garden of my dreams.. but first its hammer time and leather gloves and blood sweat and coffee.. all in a classic welsh freezing spring.. 😄
