Found a New very Cool and Perfict Treestand Haunt, with a neat little stone wallset to inbed my hunt camp, the postion is also here on the Field margins where the Pettershoal fields and forets hills meet.. west of the windfarm and lake.. its got this near perfict far veiw in three directions of my very tall tree mount.. and as i suspected and proved.. a ideal shooting point to overhead target Traveling Fallow and pick off Foxes with a clear veiw from which to spot and lure.. and ofc like much of the game, a blissful and relaxing recline under a umbrelia canopy to enjoy the setting of fog and rain.. and golden glow of dawn and dusk.. now i share my spot with you.. 🥰

They are extremely difficult to photograph, I only got some good ones because they were in a completely secluded area that no one goes to - it was taken at 300mm with my Canon EOS 1500D
One day you'll get a good photo trust me haha, it just takes a lot of practice and good timing

Most of my dragonfly photos are blurry blobs but I delete them, so I can't show my many failed attempts lmao

Even with a good camera it's difficult to get them in focus - the ones I took photos of that day were completely still and even then I couldn't get many completely sharp images

This dragonfly is a Yellow-striped Hunter (Austrogomphus guerini)

I also do bird photography, meet this poor Tasmanian Magpie (Gymnorhina tibicen ssp. hypoleuca) with some sort of feather mite or other ectoparasite that has resulted in balding of the head - strangely enough all the other feathers were in good condition

I love Magpies. We have been feeding our local ones for about 20-30 years. We name them, they come down to our back deck to get a drink ( we put a dish there for them ) and they get hand fed. They bring their babies down too. I've lost track of the amount we've had and named. lol

Yay, i got a chance to work with my group an make a vally difference, one of our old quarry waterfalls had become overgrown into a fortress of brambles and willows. So we took out our garden tools and got stuck in, what few of us can make a huge difference. And have almost finished reopening the stone falls back into the country walkers eye.. and after being b****slapped by willow twigs twice, have learnt two new things, tidy and trim the branch heaps to make them safer, and never to date a nymf..

looks very Pikey.. if its not frozen over it might be worth dropping a deadbait or two into the farbank margins near trees overhanging.. waterroots tend to add a shelterd effect from frost above water with deeper room below made by catfish or carp.. that and they attract baitfish to share the shelter and a lazy pike might decide its easy to find prey in mouths reach and not have to move much..

nice and the fact you managed to get close ups is crazy.. high rank animals only get smarter and alot more wary than their lowely herdmates from my experience.. one saw a roe in spain with beutuful long antlers.. and the right weight range.. but do you think i could lure him in bow range despite the hide i was in.. nope.. after 30mins trying to get him closer and him refusing he got spooked and i never saw it again.. then there was that diamond boar in mediva that lead me on a 4 kliomiter stalk persute without me being able to lay eyes on it from the 1st moment i saw it.. until its tracks ended at a huge cliff edge and its tracks only reapperable jump crossing ontop of the spire stacks over to the other side.. impossable unless the pig literaly grew wings but its stupidly true.. never saw another diamond boar since.. or any pig for that matter.. after hunting hundreds i'm starting to think diamond oinkers have become myth..

Its the Garden Gym today as i start a battle to save a crusail frog spawning dike that has been there before i was born, now complety filled in, i start as the hopeful first to save it before the full host arrive.. once deep enough to drown a horse its clogged to ground level with a heavy matress of rush and lily roots, a demon to gardeniers, that i battle to slay.. busting my back and bending my rake.. a make a deep wound in this monster and save a number if froggy damzels trapped within.. i can't slay this beast before the spawners arrive on my own. And have called on allies but will they arrive in enough days to help the frogs before i slip and the muddy bog monster swollows ne hole we shall see... 🐸🥰
