Yeah it's pretty crazy. It's honestly a once in a lifetime experience to see them I think they may be the only ones in the US that are like this as well. (besides myself living in the area- I'm used to them. But he's not, he's from another state like 1000 miles away and visiting so)

But I haven't seen or been to any other mountain ranges besides the black hills, which are hills not really mountains.

I looked it up earlier (though you should fact check for yourself) both parents have to carry the gene for leucism for it to show. If the other normal goose did not carry the recessive trait for leucism it would not have given the gosling the white plumage. It's possible that the gosling is a carrier of the mutation though, so if it ever paired with another goose with the recessive trait it could possibly produce more leucistic geese.

It's called "diggiscoping", used to do it a LOT before I got my cam (this is a 150$ phone), the key is just mass, some basic photo skills, trying to get eyelevel, proximity and LOTSSSSS of patience

Yeah I just realized my mistake, in Europe we only call swallows swallows I'd they have a deeply forked tail, if it's only slightly forked we call it a marten
