Yes, the Gemsbok is a Species of Oryx, latin name is the Oryx Gazella. Unlike it's northern cousins, the Gemsbok is of least concern. I believe it is the biggest of the Oryx and personally also my favourite species of Oryx.

Hmm, I think the Swart-Wit Pens is the Sable Antelope, but I'm not 100% sure. Truly a beautiful animal! I've heard them be called the "Prince of the Savannah", which I'd say is absolutely fitting.

Hippo could potentially be interesting as Class 9, maybe Hyena or Rooikat, Zebra, Sable. Klipspringer would be awesome imo, but Duiker or Steenbok as a Class 2 antelope would be pretty special as long as they aren't too easy to find.

Just found a lil fella in our garden. Spotted bush snake, harmless to humans 👍 sry not the best pics.

Biggest one we've found so far. Before this we had only found ~0.5-0.7m bush snakes. This one was well over 1m!

It was on our lawn and the dogs found it - reacted very well to our calls. My dad first though it was a boomslang, which would've been a bit of trouble. Khan (the big ridgeback I sent pics of earlier) has already been sprayed by a Spitting Zebra Cobra and bitten by a puffadder, and we really don't want to add another snake to that list 😅

Yeah they are a bit tricky to find, but they are rather abundant here in Tennessee I often hear them especially during the winter time when they are moving around alot

bad part they move as a flock and when one spooks they all fly which is a bummer since you hardly get much time to photograph them unless they are on a berry tree etc
