Ohhh those are nice
Found elephant’s ear randomly in a swamp
Not exactly a common occurrence in Tennessee
I know the area is planted for deer by the twra but still odd
Well
is it actually an alocasia or is it a Val.. Valsneria? Hang on lemme look it up
Vallisneria is not the right plant - thats a water plant
but we have a similar shaped one hre
Good to know 😂
Ask my anything about local wildlife and I got it covered but plants I’m obviously not well versed
Lords and Ladies is the one here
(threw it into my plant ID app, and it does say Elephants Ear ... and I guess TN would have ideal temps for it to survive)
P wild to see it thriving like that though. Sick find!
It might be. I got a handful of options haha
Yeah been here 19 years and never seen it in all my exploration
Other options I got were Munks rhubarb, Broad-leaved Dock, Patience Dock etc
and green arrow arum
(I use PlantNet app for ID)
It’s Sunday so I guarantee a TWRA agent is down there I might driver over and ask 😂
Man what I would give for a cutting, to propegate it :sigh:
I’ll mail you some 😂
Been thinking I might snag a cutting or two and stick it in the fish pond
It'd never work haha, cant ship internationally without strict licensing. I'll just get one here
but tbh it's not ideal for apartment living.. being 10-15' inside
Love an iris
went outside with my camera again today to capture some pictures of squirrels… I ended up talking to them.
went on a hike today, found this lil guy
Gorgeous
Idk if youve seen your dm, but yes
Oh sweet!
I fished it from the lake in my grandmothers house
calf
There was a antique shop with these that caught my eye
First of many pictures from a new batch
ooh
I just starting getting into wildlife photography
This was my only other picture I put effort into
looks great, nice job out there.
Thanks!
I like this one
what animal is that?
bison probably
Yoooo that Clematis!!! I love it
It do be purty
Thanks!
The snakes are just black rat snakes
Took this before leaving for work. Might look like fog, but it's smoke.
From Canada's fires?
Yep
That was what it was like a month ago here
So thick you couldn't see the sun
And this just now from the Dunkin across from the workplace
You work at dunkin?
"Across from the workplace"
So you work at drunkin across the way
As in, the Dunkin is across the street from my workplace
I need both that's beautiful
that i knnow but the one like slaming into the ground or is that just wind
oh they were buffalos
my bad i didnt see the last pic
Do you have a grid on your camera?
Would suggest lower angles to create more depth too.
But you're already doing way better then when I started out!❤️
Best suggestion I could make is study the rule of thirds, and apply it how you wish to your photographs
I love the rolling shot though. Getting that itch 😂
^^ this is why I asked if you had a grid on your camera.
South Dakota
Like a grid where you can put the focus point?
You have 9 boxes, it basically let's you do better composition.
Mine actually has 11 I believe
Take these for example, if u would draw lines the head would always be on 1/3th of the image.
On the red one where the lines intersect? Common places to line up the focal points of your image
I love the lego photography alot! Really unique.
Thanks
i love camping and i go camping around flagstaff AZ took these pictures of 2 pronghorn while off grid
First perch of the season
Didn't weigh we take personal bests in cm.
44cm he was.
Twitchbait, on 0.35mm fluo carbon and braided line.
7-10gr rod
Sir, you got another scaled dog in your hands
Niiiice
Haha❤️🤣
Wow looking at him I would've guessed almost 60 lol. I would love to have perch that big over here they're so fun to catch
Dang I wish we had them like that here
so neat
This plants about as old as me
lort
Me likey
Also this
nice!
do you know what variety the dark reds are??
I can ask
Just don’t lick them
Easy solution
Sorry the owner said she’s had them so long she can’t remember the exact type
I mean, I'm fine with them
my cats an idiot though
Oh yeah that’s problematic
and with some species of lily - even just inhaling or licking the pollen off a whisker is enough to unalive
(He's determined to taste test all my plants)
😂
Sounds fun
His bowl has food in it, he's a slow grazer
Even though he actively stands on my bladder every morning at 5:30 on, mrewing in my face, he takes 2 bites and back to window kkekekekek'ing at the neighbors and pigeons
😂
Ground elder?
I think its Queen Anne's Lace
Doesn’t the queens Anne’s lace have a dark spot in the middle?
Not that I've ever been aware of
I’ve always been told that if it has the dark flowers in the middle it’s a queens Anne’s lace
It might not always be there though
We will not know til next year, the grounds crew ripped them all up when they repaired the fencing the other day 😦
I'll get photos of the leaves and identify it. Right now it's anything from a thistle, to QAL 😅😅
I’m in Snowmass, Colorado for a half marathon and I got these absolute beauties of mountain sunset photos
niiiice
Dude I love your pfp
I think I wanna snuggle those baby geese
But fr, the only way to improve it imo is photo with the big telephoto lens, so you can basically count the eyelashes on the babies
What lens do you use? @upper dune
Thanks
300mm
One of those would be nice but I’m just working with my dad’s 10ish year old nikon DSLR
Over the years he has upgraded and didn’t use it anymore
Thats fair!
I absolutely want more lenses for my lil Nikon, but you know. Money, and all that.
Mine is built-in SonyRx10.
It's hard to get them up-close and personal under 400mm. Doing a great job.
Hey nice avatar, is it from your photography collection?
lol
doge
I present: Da baby
yehhh discord does that to make uploads smaller I think. But not sure.
It's dumb though :/
Yess, pretty sure she was in the bushes you can see in the back. There are 5 kits with her, only saw 2 of em today
Neat
forg
Yus
Thanks. It’s mostly just been luck
Yep. I’ll share it fully soon
i would but recently my jackdaw died 😭 i tried nursing him back to health so much but maybe i am just not fit to be a mom
A what?
smoll crow species
Depends on the geese, the ones here in my park legit bite my toes when i am taking pics
Nope, it was wounded and too weak... refused to eat
And it depends if they are alive or dead
Ah i see
This was during turkey season
Same with that
I almost stepped on this guy this morning when I was going to practice for my upcoming hunt.
bleh
I have a lot more photos on my HDD
I have over 2.000 photos of Austria, Switzerland and Germany.
I will share more later 👍
Ooooh siiiick
It is beautiful!
I really want to go to germany but they have a thing with immigrants rn so
I love traveling and back packing around the world
Neat
Like every country in Europe XD
so figgen cool
I also went on a back packing trip in England. Walked from the west coast to the east coast in three weeks.
nice
Oh? Where at???
Lookin like home
Grossarltal, Berchtesgaden, Salzburg area.
Pitztal, Otztal
Oh awesome! Just spent the afternoon at a beer garden in Salzburg
It is my favorite country in the whole world!
I have been coming to Austria since I was a child. Love it there!
Do you live in Austria?
I do!
deer
Yummy 😋
duckweed or frogbit?
Leaves look chonky for duckweed - but also I'm not wearin my specs
either way its hell to clean out of an aquarium 😭
They're shrinking @gleaming fable
Damn. Thank you for sharing
Bruh. 🤣
Not duckweed I don’t think
Or at least I’ve never seen it that big
Had some get into my aquarium once and it was a NIGHTMARE
Look up frogbit, see if that fits
I’m pretty sure that’s what it is
Little early
Yesh
You are welcome! 👍
I am glad you like it 😁
Berchtesgaden 🇩🇪
Austria 🇦🇹
England. Backpacking trip walking from the west to the east coast.
France 🇫🇷
Badlands national park in South Dakota
Day one of Custer state park
Day two of Custer
the bighorn are fucking sick
that ram is huge
loved the one with the bison rolling to the side
Crazy part is there are only 53 bighorn in the entire park (244k acres iirc) and we saw probably a dozen different sheep
Me too
@gleaming fable @dense hamlet I tried using y’all’s advice in the 3rd set of pictures
Yeah, they're struggling. That's probably one of the parks major breeding rams.
In that herd of females there were 3 babies that I was able to spot
Nice.
Did you take one of the babies?
There’s 2 pictures where you can see one clearly
Fairly certain that would be illegal...
yup
No not necessarily
Cool!
These are fantastic
That bison calf one is amazing
And the bighorn
They're really great! Those Buffalo calves 😩 my fingers are itching to touch'em
NO
Too many people get hurt
Because they wanna put them hands on a fluffy cow
If I die touching the things I love
That'll be an alright way to go
Also, is not the fluffiest cow I've seen to date
Not counting Scottish highlanders, which I also want to touch.
I like heifers
Heifers are cute. But then they grow up into ornery ol cows
When we was on the ranch we had a calf that would head butt you when your back was turned and when you turned around it'd run off. Mom also started hand feeding the cows cake which my cousin wasn't too excited about.
I,mean.. to be fair it's not like it's good for'em
And then sets up expectations
You ever go to a pushy cow and NOT have it's favorite treat?
And then have to deal with the nose-in-the-air attitude?
Makes tossing a milk machine on miserable lmao
Lol. I never dealt with a milk cow before. We only had heifers and one other breed. Good ranch cow. Tasty too if took care of right and it wasn't a bull.
Well heifers are just young un-bred cows. What color was the other breed?
Yeh
More like that one
That's a red angus
Other ones were too short
Ahh
The first one is a Dexter
Haha
legit 4 or 5 years ago now. I hated that place and that side of the family but the ranching was fun.
Cows are just love
They're the best part of any situation
Yeah, they were cool.
Cow's are cool, but they taste good aswell.
They do!
Nice T-Bone Steak with BBQ sauce 🥩
Bleh, BBQ sauce?
Yes! Some good Texas BBQ sauce
BBQ Sauce >>>
honest question
and this should probably be in off topic at this point, so I'm gonna go there
Thanks!
They were really fun to watch. They would have little play fights with other calves every now and then
My heart 🥹
There were probably a 100-150 calves in that herd aswell
And I’d say 500+ total bison in that one herd
Smol <3
Im Very Fawn Of This>
🤣
baby roe
a dragonfly i managed to tale a photo of
Was at a restaurant with a view a few months back
Phone background which i think was a nice photo i took
If you did step 2m in front u could have made one without the glass.
70-200mm F 2.8 IS III USM from Canon on 200mm
(It's a fawn from the roe deer who lives near our house, so it was really close :) )
On an Canon EOS R6 btw
How far did u take that pic?
~20m I would say, maybe 25
Do u recommend ur lens if the subject is far? ( 40-50 m)
Depends on what you wanna do.
In my case, because I really love closeups, no. But if you want more environment where the animal is shown, it's ok.
But I would prefere a 600mm for 50m xD
I think this one was over 50m?
You can do it, yes, but it's not what I love the most :D
But it's possible :D
My god it looks gorgeous! Did u use the tripod?
Nope, all in the hand :D
Wooow
I don't like using tripods, because I am not this flexible anymore
btw thats more the style I want, thats why I say 200mm is really short for me :D
I have some trouble with my pics cuz when I take some, I have to edit them a lot cuz they don’t look sharp and they are really blurry and I some cases after the edit they look like fake, and I don’t like it…
(This last 3 pics are made in an game reserve, thats why the animals where closer than normal)
Mouflons too?
It looks a bit like you need to crop a lot on your pics?
Because it looks like the resolution isn't really high.
In this case it's normal that the pics aren't this sharp, because your processor can't resolute them, the compression would be too big
Yeees
Also Sika :D
(And red deer too, but they wasn't close to the fence and were behind fences because of danger for kids. Same the boars)
Oh and fellow deers also, but there I didn't see a male and the femals where quiet far away in distance)
Would you mind DM'ing me the unedited files? I wanna see if I can tweak it a little to see if I can have any luck or if its just resolution limitation
I don’t have them anymore
Wait
Ah dang
I have one but I can send it later
Yeah whenever!
What camera did u use? And it was full frame or PSC?
Also stunning pics!!
Also the R6 with the 70-200mm :D
Thx!
Np :D
Ah and the R6 is btw a fullframe
Ionno what your upload issue is but uhh
@shell plaza Discord doesnt support this file type -
niiice
Are you dutch? @wise shore
Yes, Sir. Born and raised 🇳🇱
At the end of the planted trees is the queen's old palace. There is a huge monument at the other side, so she could like at it from her palace.
That is why it was planted that way.
Even in the dutch "forests" all trees are planted. There's no such thing as an old forest.
Are you serious? Or is this a joke? 😂
I am serious.
Today we all learn something new, I guess?
It isn’t true.
Not all trees are planted in The Netherlands. 50% is, but not the other half.
Still facts that are new to me!
Nice 👍
I didn't realize that even such a large portion of trees would be planted ones
They are planting a lot of trees, also in other countries. I see it on the news sometimes.
They are planning to plant a 100 million trees here before 2030.
How far along are they?
They start doing it in 2020, and they planted 1.6 million back then, but I cannot find information about how much they have planted to this day in 2023.
Did you know iceland is the largest consumer of bananas?
I did not
They are all planted brother, we don't have ancient forests.
The most nearby left-over ancient forest is in Poland.
All our forests have been touched by humans.
I guess we both have different opinions about it 😁 That’s fine.
I learned all of this for my ecological study on school in The Netherlands.
some forests are a few hunderd years old but they've been touched by humans either recently or in the past. if you want to read more about it google the term ''oerbos'' for dutchies.
You cannot tell me that every single tree in the Netherlands is planted.
I am not going in a further discussion, because it isn’t going anywhere.
Alright.
Beautiful photo! 👌
Out salmon fishing
Up to 12 keepers. Let 1 go
neeeaaat
I found it in my garage
It’s in the wild now
noice👍
damn dude nice catch
100% right there is no such thing as real nature in holland evrything is man made .. in 1871 the last old forrest got cut down after that evrything is planed and maintained by humans 🙂
Don't know the exact date anymore but you're right. Funny how I learned about the Netherlands during a dutch study and people still don't get it.🥲
I saw them again today, shaking :33
that little NOSE
Omg he has legs like meeee long and skinny😂😭
we have probably 12 fawns in our neighborhood. there's even one doe that takes care of three.
Awwww, thats really cute!
We have this doe living next to our house, maybe ~20 meters next to us, and I think it's her first fawn :) Its also the only one she has
Tried to capture the lighting that's also happening but not quick enough
The sky looks absolutely beautiful!
Thanks for sharing 👍
wow! cool shots.
Where snek
Some pics from this mornings adventure
can i hav one
Fallow deer sweden april 2023
I love them
Tbh, this little fawn has grown to my heart ...
(and yes, i ruined the focus, but look at this little thing!)
The ear flips 😭
Oh I do
I really do lmao
We had a herd of fallow on our farm that we were letting breed and releasing of age males and females to a hunting preserve that owned the farm -
(Think like, my grandad was the caretaker of the farm and everything on it while the owners helped and ran the preserve)
And one mama had twins. One died idk during birth, before birth?
And she rejected the second one despite it being fine
Oh cool!
For about a month we struggled to keep it thriving, like it full slept in bed with us bahaha
We also having fellow deers next to us. Need to ask the hunter their if I am allowed taking photos, because he has an amazing big fellow deer in this herd
And then it just turned south. I think, even if mom hadn't rejected it, it wouldn't have made it. Like she knew something was wrong
Oh gosh <3 So cute!
Omg yes. I hope they agree for you to!
I hope so too!
Just need to see them again, don't wanna annoy him in the house by ringing xD
Oh my :/
Tell him you will take photos and offer him some of them, maybe? As prints?
Yeah, exactly thats what I will do :D
Yeah.. it was a hard loss because like.. we thought it was coming along well, and then it just started failing to thrive. Like stopped wanting food, despite us giving appetite accelerant, vitamins, minerals - any and everything
Oh no :/
Nothing you could have done. Sometimes internal structures o.s. are damaged, or not quite build right because of oh so many things, that can go wrong while pregnancy. :/
Yeah.. There were a couple of freak accident births with our cattle, makes sense it would also apply to deer. Thankfully she was the only one like that while we had them
pretty solid success rate imo
So True!
(Roe Deer i.p. have a very sensitiv rumen biome, acidosis because of corn o.s. are not very rare. They are so sensitiv to environmental influences)
Photo of my cousins biggest catfish
Thank you!
This little guy was sleeping in the harbor last night so I took some vids and pics on my camera!
One of these was Apparently tagged. Hoping for tag info eventually
they're so cute!
they look like they need some pats
You a storm chaser?
Yes but I barely go and those are my friends
I asked if I can share
Those aren't tornadoes they're landspouts actually
They form from the ground
Neat
Hell yeah I love storm chaser @verbal spear
Do you want a picture of my first chase of the year on March 31
Which you see Washington?
I would see this in 2013 when I was younger
Sick
cool
The Mando and dinos are quite fitting.
All the Mando ones are my favorite especially the badlands one. Looks just like a scene from the show.
Same
Found this hidden gem way back on the backside of some public hunting land here in wv
Very nice
This right here proves that pheasants fly too fast in cotw lol
I love peonies
not relevant to most posts in here but I love my big machines.
Bucks starting to get some nice antlers
Honestly very cool, I like that!
This morning I decided to go fishing and just to eat breakfast at the lake. I left just before sunrise so I managed to take these pictures while having breakfast at the lake. These pictures were taken at 4:40 AM. Sadly I didn’t get any pike or perch while out there but oh well better luck next time.
I've never seen a deer with full velvet in real life before
The purple cliffs of the Alberton Gorge, here in western Montana
Should I save it??
Welcome back to Demolition where today we'll be finding out if a hammer can crush the skull of a small bird, let's get into it !
6/10: the brain of the bird didn’t splashed so much
In the next video we'll be seeing how much damage can a 4 bore rifle do to an Etruscan Shrew
nah, fledging time 🙂
Chasing dreams, and enjoying nature.
Love nature
oooh starlink
👍
First of all.. That chair float.
Lovely innit? Had carp swimming underneath, kingfishers flying by and almost caught a beaver.
Its amazing haha.
Nice fish, as well!
Got some nice smallies today
@waxen turret
A river in Romania, amazing nature
Excellent for a COTW map!
All of this is in Romania
thats a record size catfish
lol yea there fixing the dam and the water is low so
Got a bird on this pic too lol
Yeah I think that one is my favorite!
Nice pics!!
Tyty
U are still 100% better at taking pics
Probably because i use a phone and you use a actual camera
Beautiful
Keeonah ate it almost immediately after I took the photo
Lol
that isn’t very high for a highest point lol
very flat
its estonia
highest point is like 330 meters
lmao
little bit of Montana for you all
from that pic i can tell the area ur in is higher than estonia
its about 8.5k feet where i took the pic, the top of the mountains are around 10k
Still very beautiful there
yup
There aren’t actually better pics than others in this case cuz I take pics of animals and u take pics of landscapes. We can’t compare two different pics with different subjects. I think ur pictures are a masterpiece tho
well ty
“Ty”?
White clover?
yis
Nice!
No i didn’t know what “ty” means but now I know
love hate relationship with arizona
Oh lol
Southern Marsh Orchid?
Did you take the picture of the Elephant in the Smithsonian Museum in D.C. ?
I thought I recognized it 😁
Great photo!
My girlfriend went there as well, and she told me there was so much to see.
It took her almost three days to see everything in the museum. It is huge!
Te Awaroa. Cuatro Colinas.
what
Did not know roedeer could swim that far.
sorry, my mistake.
Of course she went in first class on the plane.
Fire
you can play on mobile?
Yes I play on laptop and mobile
I have it too and I don’t recommend it
Pretty nice chillin on the porch
Stunning 🤩
yup
its the best in the winter
i can show u but i gotta find the pic
@wispy ginkgo
About the same weather we had here today
I like that stump
Looks like a high fence to me
Yeah it's about chest height
Very high for a rabbit
Is it an antler from a mule buck?
Mama bird tryna feed its son
I put some music under it otherwise you could here my neighbours
Why would you make me pick a favorite? 😭
The herons are gorgeous, the damselflies are cute. The coot is amazing, the babies need snuggles
Sorry 😅
The cobalt blue water nymph maybe.
They're so beautiful
And probably going to be part of my next tattoo
I love its color too
Wait so u mean that my pic it’s gonna be ur next tattoo or the animal in general? 😅
The animal in general lmao
I have a special love for damselflies and dragonflies
Whenever I'm out in the woods they find me haha
Oh ok I was scared 🤣
I only find them in this period
In summer
I mean, it's their time of year
Yes
the worst deer yes
Best*
Liar
Not best, but not worst
They're Hearty
Rocky elk will always be my favorite
Been ages since I've been there
Same
I will always be a fan of bighorn and rocky mountain elk
Was that mulie along the flag road or whatever that’s called?
Yea
His name is Mr buckey
I saw that same buck there a couple weeks ago
O
Guess he’s a regular
Talking about deer. moose and elk aren't really to be compared with blacktail wt mule deer ect
The Grand Canyon is crazy. Foreigners are everywhere
Funny I never ran into them when I visted
They’re still apart of the deer family
I bet
And certain individuals jump out onto tiny unstable rock outcroppings
Dumbass's
They really are
Trying to decide if I want to go visit this one cave
Think I know where you’re talking about though I can’t remember the name
Does it start with an M?
I think so
Something like Manitoban cave I think
Where is that?
Secret
This guy knows
I don’t know a lot about bighorn
That guy looks big
From what I can gather he was pretty massive for that area
Yeah
I personally think they are overrated but they look cool. Biggest ones you'll see are down in flats like that and the breaks
Dad says they don't taste good but idk. I want one.
Another crazy thing about that guy is when we told the ranger at the visitor center he didn’t seem to know of who we were talking about. And he didn’t have a tag while all the others I saw did
I'd hunt one for sure just isn't a lifetime goal or anything or need a big one 😂
Bad pic but whateva
Nice little roe buck
Was it cool to see him get so close?
he scared me i was taking photos of another roe deer and i heard him coming from right
Lol
I feel you, had that happen to me a couple times too.
Just I wasn't taking pictures
Probably just got curious and wanted to say hello.
😀
Astrophotography 25-06-2023
i think its a diamond
Some Photos from my Yellowstone trip
I wanna pat them all
I love them all
Deff the grizzlies are my favorite
I like how I've lived in Wyoming all my life and the closest I got to Yellowstone was an entrance gate that was closed.
@gleaming summit
anyone else get a little nervous when Earl was going through that tunnel, cuz I did, heh
Yesirr
What camera are you using ?
What lens did u use? And how far were u? Anyways, stunning pics!!
Nikon Z8 and 200-500mm F5.6
Jesus christ 4k for a friggen camera
It's expensive but worth it in my opinion
i'm trying to get into photography and i need a tip, what would be the best camera to buy under 1000$ ?
Depends on what you want new or used and what brand
this
Best tip: Go in your local camera store and take all models in your hand.
prefferably for wildlife photography
But you can find incredible DSLRs used in good condition for around the same price
💀
Don't click that link btw
More important is getting a good lense, than an expensive body.
@gleaming fable @haughty canyon @spare acorn @meager sable can someone remove that link it's a scam
Ok I didn't know was just making sure it got removed 🙃
i've been thinking about getting a Canon EOS 2000D + EF-S 18-55 IS + EF 75-300 DC
Can make a lot of fun for sure :D
I have canon my lifetime and be really happy with them.
75-300mm would have good enough range for wildlife
Or you just take an extender if you need a longer range
And the 2000d is a solid entry level camera
indeed
The 70-300mm was my first tele lense when I started xD
Loved it really much and used it many years!
Have you got any photos from it ?
Ehmmm, let me search
I think this was made with them on a 400D
also quick question, what's the difference between the 2000D and 4000D ?
looks like the 2000D is a bit better, a few MP more, bigger display, another options on the whireless and remote control
But not this much things
MP as mega pixels right ?
4000D has 18 MP
2000D has 24,1 MP
So well, if they cost nearly the same, I would choose the 2000D I think
Yes, exactly, sorry
Ahh fill that with explosives and ur got a bomber plain
Plane
:D
They where on a german airport I lived near by
O
Get something used. I recommend canon EF as I use it myself and feel like the cameras feel and color works well in all sorts of photography and work with other lens manufacturers like sigma and tamron. You can save a lot by purchasing a used camera. I'd say get something between professional and complete beginner as you will most likely want to upgrade from the beginner cameras and get something nicer if you decide to go that route and buy entry level. By buying something in between you won't need to upgrade once you get better at it. Also stay away from kit lenses like the 18-55mm as soon as you leave beginner stage. They suck. Good luck and have fun!
@sleek shale i'm currently torn between a Canon EOS 70D for 800 bucks and a Canon EOS 2000D,could you also expain to me the difference between a mirrorless and a Mirror-reflective camera ?
Mirrorless are most time a lot faster and you see the camera settings in the view finder in the M and R versions.
A time ago, Mirror-Reflective (DSLR) cameras were the only one where you could see the "real" crop of your picture, now DSLM (mirrorless) can do that too
i got a 70d. I recommend it. I got mine for around 200 tho. I was lucky. it worked perfect and was in great shape. The difference between mirrorless and dslr is that the dslr has a mirror that reflects exactly what is shown through the lens. When you hit the shutter button you open the mirror and your sight is blocked for the time the photo is taken. When it has opened, the mechanical shutter blades open and close, dictating the exposure time for the picture. The higher the shutter speed, the shorter time the shutter blades open and close, freezing action easier. On a mirrorless camera, the mechanical shutter is still there along with an entirely digital shutter. The image seen through the viewfinder here is just a screen, showing what the cameras image sensor is seeing. When you hit the shutter, either the mechanical shutter blades start the exposure or the camera sensor does it all on its own digitally.
The mirrorless cameras tend to be better at autofocus as well, as they can track things like people, vehicles and animals intelligently with it's sensor, unlike the dslr which relies on the highest amout of contrast at the focus point to determine if the focus is set correctly.
Ah yes, that I forgot, thanks
Kreealm-Wasserfall in Austria 🇦🇹
Can confirm: That is a waterfall
I believe it is worth to mention that mirrorless is what's popular right now as DSLR cameras are starting to die. If you go for canon, note that their mirrorless "R-series" are currently not open for other companies to manufacture lenses, other than canon themselves, so you will be limited to expensive canon glass until they open the R mount for all lens manufacturers to use, which is most likely coming in a few years. I would get a mirrorless for a bit more money so you can keep up with new lenses as there wil essentially be no more dslr lenses or cameras released.
alright thanks
