@clever bane yes I do I use a program called procreate on my iPad with an Apple Pencil ( tho mines kinda busted pressure sensitivities don’t work on it anymore) , been bored lately and figured it would be a fun project specially since I can knock out two of em in a day lol

Damn thats cool, yea I had the exact same problem with my drawing pad, the pressure sens did not work either so I gave up drawing. Incredible what you can still do with your pad ^^ The proportions are insane on your drawings, I dont see anything that seems off :D

And the knowledge of what to paint black and what to leave white is also pretty impressive

@lofty lance exactly like lulia said, because I’m working in digital medium the only thing I actually have to put effort into is the line work which is simplified compared to my normal artwork , coloring is a drag and drop process making it very speedy 😄

the four Animals i wish to also hunt in a winter setting, because not only do i enjoy my tranqual hunts and thrills in the snowscapes, but also the change of the season and location would dramaticly alter how we and enjoy hunting these animals, and that is something i'd love to see..

Boars in a more barren and dry winter landscape like seen in the uk and parts of easten europe would be of great intersest to me.. and i wonder which reserves the devs were thinking when your reveiw idealized hunts in altered seasons? winter Hirchfield sounds dreamy..

Laton lake in the winter, snow geese would be in that season

do mallards migrate, cos the local ducklake marralrds at my home welsh lake, never leave all year round.. and more ducks appear everyyear ether arrivals or survining ducklings.. but the ducks never leave come heat or snow, even on the rare days when the lake freezes they won't leave.. likewise the big white geese live consitently there.. but then their domestic breeds..

Not yet, I started with American species as that is what I’m most familiar with, only animal I’ve drawn so far that I haven’t seen irl is the blacktail as they live on the other side of the mountains from me, I’m going to do African species next as Ive worked on quite a few in taxidermy, but I’m very unfamiliar with European and Asian species

If anyone hunts roe deer, axis deer, sika deer, red deer,fallow deer , any of the ibex in game, feral goat, Iberian mouflon, European bison, reindeer, chamios , or musk deer irl I’d really appreciate it if they could DM me pics of decent (but not once in a lifetime) typical trophy’s for reference, apologies if this is the wrong channel for this I’m not sure where to put it

For roe deer I can tell you cause I saw them here many times. I'd say antlers quite a bit above the ears are pretty standard for good looking roe bucks. But since I don't hunt I can't say what hunters would describe as a trophy roe deer, considering this is also a quite subjective thing

Something like around double the size of the ears should be both impressive and realistic

thanks :) usually I use Derwent pastels. this one however is colored pencils (Faber Castell polychromos). I just like using clairefontaine pastelmat als base because it has a light sandpaper like structure and picks up pigments really well :)

It’s not that exciting here, they’re very shy, so of the 50 or so times I went I probably only saw em 15 times I’d guess and maybe 9 of those times they were actually in a good spot for viewing, their enclosure was pretty tucked back between the red pandas and the tigers so yeah not the best view lol still it’s nice that I’ve gotten to see em irl

Well finaly with the Dawns rise of a new day and an end to a Coffee less long night... my mind finaly feels the crunch of tiredness but also realief as my second atempt at a old faverate artwork gets its awsome redraw long overdew, its not fully set in stone yet, so i'll be double checking for needed tweaks or corrections before i set it with ink.. but i do hope this rework will give all the feel of Happiness that i vibe from this, and other will see her as the stout she is rather than a misslabled cat. as a Court lady i still feel she could do with some Jewelry but other than adding Nomadic Beads and fathers with the odd tooth or claw... i'm not sure what would be appropreate without ruining her outdoorsie attraction.. perhaps another will have a good idea for simplistic bling... if any at all.. 🤠 "this is technically fanart, as this is my faverate way to hunt hares and rabbits in cotw and a big inspiration for it" 😉

Phew... took a few days but i managed to finish the Redraw now all coloured up.. sadly i made a few mistakes in the silk deels colour layering and failed to recreate her original dark teal top and i made a bad mess of it, fortunatly my mum gave me a good hand in correcting it as best as we could, as it came out a dark jade..😖 , along with some miner changes to her outfit and fur adding a few adornments of beads and a Terquiose ring. some colour alterations, and the custom design of some whitecoller rabbits, shes become quite the enjoyable character and i can't wait to the day i eventualy reach a new novel of which i can write her in.. besides her silks misscolour i can happaly call this redraw a success.. 😄

Finaly the new sketch is refined, finished and inked.. now you can see my newst concept in its true detail, Straddling across the grey bearberry tundra these mounatin camels make for comparable mounts for the larger races of my world and perfictly addapted to the cold vast climate of shalestone Gnoll country. reporting from patrol these Gnolls are equiped with more than their thick fur and stubborn attitude, their carry Wheellock carbines and curved blades like this males long camel scythe for slashing reach, his companion too carries a large quiver of Hunting Darts great for the pursuet be her prey animal or man... the Drow takening in their report is wearing his own thick coat of Deel and himself is equiped with weapons and tools of a frontline Mountainer.. Should the report bring ill news, he too will break camp and pass the message along the Snow bitten plains.. ✍️ 🤓

If you want some honest criticism, that bison's too thin through the ribs and haunches. IRL, they're barrel chested and their hind quarters are massive. They're only narrow in the short space between the rib cage and hind legs. The front 1/3 looks great though

well i did a good bit of study on the bison from paintings and photos, and when they kick out like that when on the move their body strechs somewhat, kind of like how my mums pugs do when they strech their backleggs out, their deep bodyed too with a barrel chest yet when the push their back leggs out they do look thinner, much like the bison in my photostudys, took me a good serch to find images with the right momentom for my latest consept. 🦬 ✍️ 😉

Well i finaly got her, took quite the pursuit over a few hours trying to single her out with my recurve, out of a constantly spooking herd... But my sacred hunt was of double reward for her herd had a Lucustic sister alongside.. my only regret is not being able to use this one in my mutlimount as they only use Bulls.. but their both enjoyables for my collection none the less.. 🥰

Okay now a little spec evo: (15.000 years into the future) This is Crocodylus Caribicus a 4-5.5m long crocodillian which diverged from the cuban crocodile or crocodylus rhombifer, it is distinct through shorter limbs and longer body aswell as more formidable teeth. It is the most marine based species of any crocodilian at the time and fills are role similar to that of the now extinct saltwater crocodile. It is present around the Caribbeans, Cuba, Jamaica and the Bahamas. It hunts fish, sea turtles, seals and occasionally even smaller individuels of it's own kind. Sexual dimorphism is visable by general size and keratin extent of the squamosals. While females usually dont exceed 4m in length there have been males reported at around 6.3m in length which is likely the maximum for the species.

Finalt finished my current concept with colour, went experimental with the colour.code for my Drow ranger, kitted with his mountain gear, i picked a more subtle yet still bright colour set and what i perseved as a lynx fur hat and rose.wood for his warpicks handle. What you think 😊

Sweet with some final touches i got it finished, a Gnoll patrol returns to report their findings to a waiting Drow mountianier dressed in his best deel and equipment. the Gnoll and his female comrade are fully equiped for the days on the tundra and blue shale slopes, equiped for the travel and clan colours and the persuit should it deem nesserary be their game animal or unwanted humans.. with their blades and camel sycthe, carbines and war darts.. the private lands of Gnoll Country are scared and territoraly guarded.. where Gnoll allies are tolerated but for human invaders their lives will be short unless ransom spare them.

well my fursona is a skunk, and the fish is a Barbel, our Uk and welsh strongest river fighting fish, something were very passionate about among british anglers, and theres no River better for Barbel than my local river Wye. their a semi preditery carp species common yet often unherd off in western europe. but if you want a good sport and scrap the elusive Barbel's king of the Uk river.

Speaking of furfolk, the third warrior in my combined concept is now complete, as a Bunnarian Huntress of the Cottondowns she is tall and fair yet incredably strong and her bow packs a wallop.. based off an inuet bow im not sure if its a warbow or recurve.. but her meter long arrow has a warhead barbed with the concentrated oil of a WhiteHog Daff also known as verminbane, a potent blood thinner that insures the wounded foe bleeds out rather than make it off the feild..

was cut off from the net a while, but im finaly back, its been problematic haven no net, but it did give me no excuss not to finish one of my latest concepts inspired by one of my faverate hunts in CotW.. to Native americans a sin, but to celts and Hellenics a garante for honers into the afterlife and a privalige pass to unlock the enternal hunting grounds for your derserved enjoyment. one key feature focus of this peice was the great kilts many uses, as its well chosen plaid makes for great a camaphlage cloak in the highland wilds.. as its natural fibres blend in and break up your outline.. be the target of your ambush animal or man, and its own inspiration for Tolkens Elven cloaks.. 🤠

finishing last night my newest concept had the inspired and experimental idea to draw the battle in a storm.. i have barly ever drawn rain in any extent even though its my favererate eliment.. this time i tested the idea of using a grey fineliner for the downpour of rain as its lighter and less intrusive on the darker black lineworks.. and it cameout great.. the only drawback is i had wished to colour this.. but doing so with smother my rainfall making it unable to see... so it is the remain as ink.. with thoughts of experiments of colouring rain into a coloured sketch now brewing in my own minds tempest of thoughts.. ✍️ 🤔

Well the 1st lead tro are now finished, and with much improved outfits the Rouge Bliss on the left got some rework into her cloths with some mountainman's wife inspiration incorparating their native american colonial adapted outfits.. Furfax on the right is cluttered with her seige expert affects and her faverate vollygun. Tugged between them the battle-wizard Steelbreeze has his outfit reworked too in perticulier his silver glaivestaff, now lighter and bettershaped to contuct the wind, thunder and metal he casts around the battlefield in sparks and molten shards..

Finaly got a loadable iamge, turns out discord won't load my art if its scanned uncoloured.. Well its a mixture of things, from a history of rivalies, to war, hunting and fishing, and plenty of romance "not for kids" all rolled into a carefully knitted story to follow as it relects characters own troubles inerwind into a harsh but beutiful iceage backdrop.. in a fantasy 17th century world..

Finished Gnoll three, a more heroic looking member of this hunt party.. drapped in prediter fur of a snow saber trophy and warrior rings, he is bold strong, and although beneath them a good pic for the higher ranking females.. as for his hunting equipment, he has a good throwing arm and thus will be using his throwing darts likly poisoned to bleed, and also another populer gnoll weapon in the longhandled form of a falx, not so much a hunting weapon, but the game could change from animal to man at a whim of the wilds wind.. feel free to tell me what you think.. 😄
