Everything, most especially mammals, all have the same basic structure

Wings aren't just anomalous parts of the body, they're arms, for example.

Birds don't have backwards knees, it's their heel.

There are some differences from species to species, but we share a lot of the same muscles too.

Colors that match = same muscle as on a human.

Looking up écorchés of whatever you're trying to draw, references, and skeletal pictures also help.

Scott Eaton is another, he specializes in human beings mostly.
