Fugly without a doubt! shame CIC axed it from scoring would of been neat for a UK roe to be the world record.

Context to other roe deer are scored off water displacement so at home you test them by how many grams they weigh 400/500/600g usually the actual official scoring uses water displacement "mr ballie" shot this abnormal roe in the late 1900s and send it into CIC to be scored and it was rejected off the abnormal bone growth effecting its score.

It weighs over a kilo basically all ballie heads weigh the heaviest and when grams influences scores so much CIC refuses to messure them but they also dont have any real definition of what counts as a ballie or not.... so there's been cases where obvious ballies have slipped past and made it into the books and been officially scored.

Europe's version of millo/mitch rompula basically. 🤷

I know it’s hard to distinguish it from a modern tiger just from the head, but when both animals would be put side-by-side, the Ngandong would be larger so I guess there’s that. Its weird as hell I admit buzzards are getting over populated I admit but the UK is so nature depleted no one quite truly knows what the biomass of them is meant to be either.

The osprey & golden shooting should never even be a thing considered however, It sucks that it happens unlike the occasional buzzard shot a golden or osprey serverly impacts the potential future population 😭

the fact that every keeper youve known has shot raptors is absolutely bonkers!! it breaks my heart because none of it is fair for both our struggling natives and our quarry. i'm wanting to do more research on the topic because its pretty fascinating how things got this bad. its still a travesty our buzzards are being shot since there really is no good reason for it, if theres too many of them as a result of the sheer amount of gamebirds in our fields, the obvious answer here is to release less, yknow?

my feelings on it are complex but i ultimately understand the situation is difficult on all sides. people want to protect their livestock! i don't want to stir too much debate here since this is a fan art channel, but if anybody has any resources to study on any part of this (conservation being hunter-led instead of wildlife-led, pheasant rearing/releasing, informstion on losses to raptors/foxes, so on so forth) give me a ping in #🦝︴off-topic :)

Hunters are the reason, trophy hunters in particular, that America still has its bison.

Hunters do, by and large, love the animals they kill.

Humans have been managers of wildlife and environment since time immemorial. We are part of the natural world, not excluded from it, and some of that involves killing animals to ensure continued function of an area. Both for our own benefit, or the benefit of the game animal.

Cintiq's are also really cheap used I refuse to sell mine because a $700 tablet resells for $300-ish.

I liked my intuos I hardly touch my cintiq and its not a huge one (16") but holy sht the cable management in wacom products is ass.

the huion kamvas pro cable is a bit wonky..? It's a three way? but honestly, I run it behind my monitor - outta sight outta mind

yeah wacom Is a three way too HOWEVER the three way portion of the cable is maybe a meter length at most.

the wall plug portion is maybe like 4? meters.

Almost all PC setups are designed around wall sockets so a 4m plug is unneeded..... but most modern PC setups have humongous desks meaning I cant actually have my wacom setup 24/7 because the 3 way cable isnt long enough 😭
