What you don't understand and the reason I had put the feeders is he was missing for about a week. Idk he wasn't coming to the drink zone I initally saw him in and I put 4 other feeders near by. That one was a good 500 from where I last saw him drinking. I was beging to think something went wrong and a friend got him before I could.. And yeah chances are he would have been at the feeder again. I have no idea where its drinking because apparently he doesn't do that any more. And not at the drink zone I initally saw him at now theres a level 4 in that herd instead of him... Just after him being gone for a week and me putting down a couple new feeders near by I didn't want to risk him disappearing again because he's no longer at a drink zone during the drink time. But honestly this is another reason why I don't feel guilty or shame at all for some things...

Basically I killed the wolf next to a river during its drink time, I know I killed it because I saw its health drain and because of the hunting pressure, I then go to the other side to not find the wolf, I go back to where I shot it to see if it floated back, it didn’t, my bloodhound kept swimming to the middle of the river when I asked him to track it, so I ran up both sides of the banks and didn’t find it, I looked on land as well, nothing. This all took like 4 hours to do, so I contacted support and they didn’t address the wolf disappearing but only the bloodhound they addressed. So idk what happened but whatever happened to that wolf honestly made me so mad because I have wanted a diamond Iberian wolf for a while.

finally tracked down & killed the random legendary red deer that’s been chilling in my hirschfelden map for a while. his drink zone was so close to an outpost that teleporting to the outpost would startle him into fleeing, and he had no other known need zones. i ended up going to the second closest outpost and trying to drive there. however, on the way there, there were so many fleeing feral pigs crashing into me that i died. this has been my only non-fall related death to date, and it’s somehow stupider than any of the times i flung myself off cliffs assuming i would make it. when i respawned, i was at the outpost where his drink zone was at, just watching him drink calmly.

Very much worth it in my opinion. The Hudzik tears through everything with the minie ball ammo, it sounds good, it's fun to use, and it doesn't spook animals as much.

The M1 Garand is great too. I've had lots of success with it, even on some stuff above its ammo class range.

The Miller Model 1891, I haven't properly gotten to test, but as far as I know it's a good shotgun.

Hard to tell male from female or what is a good trophy, especially animals without antlers/horns
However, playing like this brings a lot of excitement, even when bagging a simple gold!
Makes COTW feel less arcadey. Not a big fan of "great one grinding"...

They commonly make dime at lvl 4. Level 5s are their max level and they are guaranteed to be a dime

A LOT of the animals can make dime under max level. Some can't like black bears.

Also, have to mention that even if an animal can make dime at the level below max does not always mean the max level for some animals are guaranteed it will make dime. For example moose can make dime at lvl 4 and yet lvl 5s can still troll
