That is actually very small diamond is a 430 with some of the biggest getting up to 465+ almost trophy rating is basically the system of judging the size of the animal the bigger the rating the better the animal get corresponds with the medals with bronze being the lowest and diamond being the highest silver and gold being in the middle

You go to the locker that is in or near the Outpost on the map and you go to the store in them you get money by completing missions and killing animals to buy them you also may need the corresponding weapons score to unlock them for purchase any DLC weapon packs you get to the weapons for free

You get weapons score by using that weapon a lot to kill animals you typically get for a single shot clean kill 35-70 score depending on how quick the kill was and what kind of animal it was

They drink from 16:00-20:30... Most of them I find at the mushroom lake in Cheelah or also by the lakes on the border of willipeg and chopeeka but they should be nearly everywhere at that time
They drink from 09:00-12:30 and 17:00-19:30... most often I find them at the big central lakes and also at the lakes in Lago Bebe (also the five/six lakes in bosque muerto are good for hunting them)

Best way is to create a setup with blind and decoys (you get the max attraction value with 20 decoys) and then just use the caller while you are in the blind and the birds will fly in... so use a shotgun to get value 🙂

I too was running into this issue. Then I happened to find a huge spawn of bears 2 different times.
It's like they aren't moving from their spawns/need zones.
