I should probably elaborate aligators usually are actually hunted Hooks, either active or Inactive but same basic Idea of fishing, Bait and It gets snagged.

After that there dragged towards a boat, "land" (In water on the edge of a bank) traps are usually close enough to land
Boat method Sticks are used, Think of modern day animal bolt guns (I think?) or .22's If slight range is needed.

Is it possible that certain animals just don’t visit multiple need zones? I got a rest spot and a feed spot that are right next to each other. The rest spot is from 0-5 and the feed spot is from 5-9. It’s for fallow deer and I have set up several nights making calls and only saw one which I got but that’s the only one that’s come here and the hunting pressure has since gone away.

Not really sure but I heard that the way respawning works is that when an animal is harvested, an animal of similar scoring is spawned in its place. So I’d believe only males as they have a higher chance of spawning back as a great one though i don’t know that much about GO grinding.

45-70. Is good but it has short range, So I would recommend 7mm.

it depends on your playstyle, but you can’t really go wrong with either of them. The main differences between the two is that the .45-70 has shorter zeroing ranges range than the 7mm but it has a 3 round capacity, the 7mm has longer zeroing ranges than the .45-70 but only has a 1 round capacity

Yeah I really like the ability to put a second shot in but from the videos I watched the 45-70 was less effective in range and penetration

If the aim is to kill as effectively as possible then the 7mm, the 45-70 is fun though since it pushes you to get closer and allows you to usually get two shots into something before it bolts

Also I’m seeing an obsession with the number of drink zones lately among prospective GO grinders. My advice: don’t worry too much about it. Just find as many zones as you practically can (i.e. don’t lose sleep over not knowing where a couple are) and grind them

Need zones are not always at the icon

The icon is a general marker for where animals rest/drink/rest which can be anywhere within 100 meters of it

Is anyone else having issues with certain species need zones just disappearing off your maps? All my red deer drink and eating zones in Cuatro Colinas just vanished, and they didn't disappear because of hunting pressure

Exactly. Before, if you didn't get your kills, you were penalized and your kill and pick up bonus in sequence was reset to zero. So, if you killed a diamond animal and had that bonus zero, you lost the diamond. But the other day I saw a video where the guy said that this doesn't happen anymore, so I wanted to confirm if it's true.

They removed consecutive harvest check awhile back

Now as long as you hit a vital organ, dont hit the trophy organ (usually head), do it with the correct ammo and shoot it at most 2 times you get full ranking

I think you still get bonus money for fast kills though

Nice! I was worried about this all the time in the game, because the bonus still appears on the screen, but it's nice that it doesn't interfere with the diamond anymore.

.300 also usable although they'll often run and, I discovered yesterday, the .45-70 is quite effective out to 100-150. I'd like to see them add a .458 Win Mag or maybe a .460 Wby to give 300 yard range on buffalo/bison but that's probably never going to happen

I think you need to drop about 6 animals reasonably close to each other to get that one done but I remember it feeling "bugged" even though it actually turned out not to be. Look out for the one about the famil of boars near the lake also - that one actually is bugged - there are no boars around the lake and the only way to do it (practically impossible) is to drive them into the area...

It's still incomplete on my game. I gave up on the basis that it was set under false pretences - the story says specifically that the boat are around the lake but the nearest need zones I have are about 1k away to the south east. I searched for days for something actually in the mission area but there was nothing. I remember feeling disappointed too, that it wasn't just boar that were missing. There were no animals of any kind - a "dead" zone. Seemed like such a waste of ground.
