So i've just been calling them til they turn into real geese and shooting em before they have a chance to land. It's been working out very well depending on the angle they give me.

It's hunting pressure. It's caused when an animal dies, it happens where they were first shot. Too many animals shot in one area will becomes super vibrant purple and it will delete need zones within the purple areas

It depends on their rack score. You're more likely to get a hold with max weight fallow. Should be 220 lbs. For the fallow to get gold, their minimum score needs to be 172.9. I believe lvl 3's will make it. Lvl 4's generally always make it.

Yeah. Lvl 3s are usually silver, sometimes gold. Look for Lvl 4s. And deer that have estimates over the 172.9.

You need to hunt in other areas of the map

Hunting pressure only goes away when you hunt somewhere else and little by little, the pressure in that area will move to another

If you don’t hunt at all, it will stay

And you have to hunt on that map specifically

I’ve been hunting with the long bow and comp bow, and hitting 100-200m shots now why is it with the cross bow even with the range perk it barely hits 100m when the draw is way more force?

But I wanted to try the crossbow as it should shoot extremely fast, accurate and longer then a normal long bow and comp bow, as I have used them irl and that’s how they work. i've found if you spook an animal from its zone that sometimes rather than returning to their zone they just resume their zone activity was whereever they ended up after fleeing

but then that often coincides with the 'flee' bug where they just stand there

It seems to me like it is a programing glitch where the boundaries of the water areas are defined to be a lot bigger than the graphics of the bodies of water so the drink zones can go for a long distance away from what we can see the lake or river to be and that is why you see animals drinking from rocks and such. I have even seen deer drinking in the middle of lakes at the very bottom.

Almost certainly yes, since the redistribution changes where those need zones will be, along with an entirely new population being generated

If you reset the game (closing the game and re opening) they will respawn. So you don't have to wait in game for days for them to spawn

There's not really any weapon that can cover every class for that purpose

.300 for 7-9s and m1 30-06 ad .303 for class 4-6-8 and 243 for class 2s and maybe 3s and the mosin for 3s

I’m really sorry to be a bother but I have an issue, several. I play on PS4/5 and on my Layton I still have all the old need zone times for animals especially black tail and elk. That’s not my biggest issue however. On several of my maps I don’t have animal it seems like my populations are scarce to none. My medved map is severely lacking in animals in spots where I know there’s supposed to be plenty, I have almost no sika stags on te awaroa as well as feral goats and now my fallow are starting to dwindle too. My cuatro is missing several stags or hinds around certain lakes where there’s a constant normally. I think I’m missing around 7 or more zones for red deer on there. I don’t know why this is happening or how to fix it if there is a fix for console. If anyone is able to give me some insight I would greatly appreciate it and again I apologise for being a bother
