my theory is that the two actually have the same wobble, but you notice it more on the argus because of the higher zoom level.

think about it this way: lets say you have wheel with a radius of 1m. put a rock at the edge of the wheel, put another one halfway between the center and the edge. now rotate the wheel 90 degrees. Which rock covered more linear distance?

The scope doesn't affect the amount of wobble, per se, but the visualization of the motion gets amplified the closer you look at it.

I just tried aiming at a target in the range @ 150 metres. Hyperion at 8x and Argus at 8x. Same wobble vertically.

I think a proper experiment would be to record the wobble pattern at Argus at 8x setting and Hyperion at 8x setting, same rifle (repeat on a few other rifles as well) in all 3 stances (standing, crouching, prone)

There are three options: 1. you spot the animal using the zone 2. you pick up the need zone track 3. If you pick up multiple normal tracks near a need zone, it will be revealed

Sometimes you can find duck droppings or feathers at the side of the ponds/lakes, if you interact with them, you'll get the zone. That's how you can discover zones when there are no ducks using it.

Crazy bow person here: one level in retrieve arrows is usually useful, and pumping iron at least to me felt like it made enough of a difference

Bows shoot a bit straighter, and arguably the insane penetration of arrows is even better, even by a touch

That said, neither of the perks at the top are particularly useful: you will almost never shoot a bow from the hip, and shooting from prone sounds useful, but it sucks

As in, you're shooting without using the sight, so you might as well be shooting from the hip

With improvised blind, crouching up before pulling back shouldn't blow your cover

And for everything else, there's crossbows if you really wanna shoot from prone

okay, with some hefty assumptions like negligible wind resistance and a simple acceleration curve, I reckon a 420gr Xbow bolt covers 40m in .344 of a second, while the 600gr bolt takes .412 of a second

so that's .07 of a second difference or like 20%

but a 42% increase in weight

For a 60lbs bow over the same distance, the 420gr takes 0.571s and the 600gr takes 0.683s, again about a 20% increase in time for a 40% increase in weight

but there's a 66% increase in travel time for the arrows compared with same-weight bolts over the same distance
In fact arrow flight time at 40m is about the same as bolt flight time at 66m for the same weight ammo, so I would say even if you compare them during their respective normal usage bolts are unlikely to perform worse than arrows

wait! I forgot to factor in that bows have longer draw length!

it's actually more like a 35% increase in flight time for arrows vs bolts, and an arrow at 40m is more like a bolt at 54m

4-8 already is a massive improvement over the 1-4, but of course the 8-16 has a higher magnification

I would say, if you're gonna frequently attempt pretty long shots (~300), or medium range shots on small animals like foxes or coyotes, then going straight to the 8-16 will be most useful

But the 4-8 does have a better field of view on the bigger game at medium ranges, and it might be less of a jump from the 1-4 and thus take less time to get used to

Yeah I would probably try it more but having the 1-4 I can effectively drop animals from around 180 to 200

@last hemlock I guess it's not quite high on the list of issues, but I didn't see the red deer warning call issue on the list. They make no audio. Also another minor audio issue, the levels on some of the effects are a bit all over the place. For example opening a door at the main outpost in Parque sounds hella loud compared to all the other effects and I think there were some other similar cases as well (I can think of a few mission related sounds, also on Parque). On the other hand some other sounds are rather quiet if not missing completely (like building hunting stands in some maps).
