One time they see you from miles away and outrun you, and other times they just do'ntcare

They won't flush unless you're at least 10m away from them. Try to get inside that range and let them run. As soon as they get 10m away, they'll usually fly

There's an outer range too. Maybe 50m, maybe less where if you whistle they'll flush

Best to do is walk and listen for animal mating calls and warning calls whenever you come across them stop crouch and sneak towards the call watching your wind the little cone down in the bottom left try to look around different places at different need times like drink zones feed zones and just pay attention to detail listen and look for tracks as well

If you are outside of 430 m (I'm not sure if this is the exact number, but around this.), you won't see them because they are too far away to get rendered, but if you fast travel to a tent which is closer than 200-180 m they also won't get rendered until you go further away. So ideally you want to place your tent somewhere between these two distances.

There is no other bolt action rifle which is ethical up to class 9. The only rifle from WP for that range is the Drilling Rifle, which has a 9.3x74r barrel for class 5-9, but you'll have to reload it after each shot. It might be better to stick to the 7 mm then.

after a while it will stop heeling and go back to idle

also if you tell them to sit or lay down if you go 100-150m away they will come to you

Are there any issues currently with ducks and callers? I've set up blinds and decoys at need zones. No sign of cinnamon teal nor or any getting called in. I'm sure I have had it working before. Playing on PC.

I don't trust my aim at those ranges so I always get within 200, and softpoints work just as well for broadside shots
