So don't know if it's been asked but on silver ridge, just opened the hide that's between two ponds. Every time I try get up in it it puts me in the base and I can't get out unless I fast travel. Us there a way of fixing this
I have tried restarting the game and now have deleted and redownloading it as I type. Any other hints. As I play multi player most days abd don't want others to get stuck in it too

Hello everyone, i bought the game 4 days ago. I now start to consider in which direction I have to upgrade my hunting gear. I started the game using the free .270 that the game gave me for some kind of event and I felt it incredibly underperforming. It failed to hit lungs or heart due to the low penetration of the starting bullet
Then I found that polymer .243 are way more powerful and it allows me now to hunt deers and smaller game without issues.
So I'd like to get a new rifle to be able to hunt bigger game without losing the ability to hunt deers. So I'd like to buy a new rifle. I consider buying a DLC in order to get a 30-06 rifle. Does this caliber could be the right one for me ?
( I know that there are bigger free guns but I fear that magnum rounds will be too much for deers)

The 7 mm is probably the best investment you can make. There is nothing you can hunt with the 30-06, that you can't with the 7 mm, and as a bonus, you can also hunt class 9 animals (buffalo, bison, lion) with it.
The one weapon pack I absolutely recommend to buy no matter what, is Weapon Pack 1, it comes with the .22LR which is the only rifle for small game, otherwise you have to use shotgun/bow.
Later if you enjoy the game and want to go hard on deer grinding, I recommend buying the Smoking Barrels Weapon Pack, it comes with the semi-auto M1, which uses the 30-06 ammo and it's very useful for taking down multiple animals quickly. And the Yukon Valley DLC which comes with the .300, which is the best gun for class 7-9 animals.

occassionally carry .243 as well for smaller class game
then i bought dlc and swap .270 with M1
before 7mm, i had my drilling shotgun for taking down class 9, but that's come from weapon pack 2 DLC

So weight reason doesn't really apply. And beside that it's not smart to have holes in your loadout for certain classes. You never know what appears before you.

The weight you are carrying has no effect on how loud you are.
Unless you are using backpacks. Those are loud as heck.

That's the smart thing to do. You should use space you have as much as possible. If it's not enough, you can always grab the Pack Mule skill, which give you like 3 extra kilos without increased noise.

It's not time based, it's kill based. There is only a certain amount of pressure you can have on your map, after that each new kill will start to remove the old pressure circles.

I'm not sure. There are some conflicting information out there. It takes a few days until they'll back in their zone. Also based on my experience they don't always spawn back to their original zones. But they'll always come back somewhere.

Even Reindeer can go down, they just run a little longer. A close up brain shot on a black bear. Layton is a good map for free money

With the .243, you probably want to be < 150m. If you smack them broadside from that range, they might run a ways first but it will be fatal. Start saving up for the .270

Surprisingly, almost every weapon pack has an option for you
WP1 gives you crossbow and recurve, which if you like bow hunting can cover every class on the game easily
WP2 has the Mosin which helps you for classes 3-7, but also has the drilling rifle. Drilling can use 16ga shotgun shells (birdshot for scrub hares) but also a special rifle round that does 6-9
WP3 has the Eckers, which has a 30'06 round good for 4-8

Get the smoking barrel dlc, M1 is regarded as the best class 4-8 rifle by many

And WP4 (Smoking Barrels) has the M1, which is a semi auto 30'06, plus a muzzle loader rifle that can do up to class 8, and a 10ga shotgun whose slugs can do class 6-9
I personally love the versatility of the drilling rifle for Vurhonga. Hecc, it's a straight up safari weapon, so it's very fitting

Yeah I use a controller on PC and I didn't know how slow you could actually move using keyboard and mouse where i can crawl and nearly produce no noise

Slow down. Walk and crouch. Get around water so you have better view to spot animals. Open outposts and do missions, they get you around the map and you have goals where to go.

Guys the 270 and the 243 are completely different guns. 270 can take deer to moose while the 243 can take coyote to anything class six. In my opinion I would take both on layton
The polemer is better for any gun but the class still stays the same if you use soft.

Even with the .270 you want to really take a perfect broadside shot if you wanna take down bigger game, like red deer and up to elk/moose
In general, if the ammo has a class range, it'll be strongest for the lower end of the class,, but can still struggle with the higher end
.270 class is 4-8, so it performs very well on class 4-5, but falls off for 6-8
.243, in comparison, is 2-6, so it excels at 2-3 but struggles on 4-6

And I did, I got the puma with it
Then tried to use it on reds and found it a bit lacking, so now I picked up the Eckers instead

I’d say listen to what your heart says. If you have the patience to try bow hunting, then go for it. If you wanna blow a deer’s chest apart with a handgun, then do it. If you wanna make mincemeat of small animals with shotguns, then give it a go

If you got any shotgun DLC, you also get access to buckshot/slugs for those shotguns. So you can still hunt deer or other larger animals with a shotgun. 🙂

I don't really trust bullets in this game, I find the soft bullets of 243 and 270 to be absolutely useless except if you like to walk 10km after a deer.
So low penetration scares me
Anyway I 'll probably buy a DLC or two and the one with the drilling will be one of them

Its like the beginning mission where you cut the barbed wire fencing and pull the posts. After i pulled the posts out it just did not progress to the next mission

This is literally the only mission thats done this to me all the other missions work fluently on other reserves its just Rancho for some weird reason
