As someone with about 65k bow score, I saw how it works once and never really needed to make that kinda shot

You're either already hidden well enough while crouched to not need to take a prone shot, or your target is close enough you can crouch up and shoot before it flees

Or, you have a crossbow, which let's you shoot from prone without sacrificing your aim

Well, I'd then suggest starting at Layton and doing story missions

They give a good bit of info on how to play, particularly Layton, and allow you to gain decent cash and xp quickly

Other than that, killing as many animals as you can (properly ofc) is usually a good way to get money and xp quick

The absolute best way to make cash on PC rn I would say is goose hunting, but there's a couple equipment DLC you need to make it viable and efficient

Any time between 7 and 19 walk around the burned Forest looking for tracks is what I do and then I follow the tracks and looking and keeping an eye out for the pack

You might have a better chance starting around 8:00 or 9:00 and you could possibly find the tracks from them moving that night better

But they usually change rest zones about halfway through so 12 I say is also a good time

Just be careful because walking to the watchtower can be dangerous I died one time hunting with someone I attempted to kill a wolf with a 44 and failed lol one of the few times I've actually died by an animal

Ok question. I shoot a bird with my revolver and it disappears. Completely gone cannot find it, what is the problem. I just shot a bird in a open field with my revolver, saw where it went down, and its not there. Has happened to me before. I was ontop of a lookout point, a bird came flying by close and so i shot it with my revolver. It dropped down near some trees but i couldnt find it. Once you get polymer tips you can relatively easily hunt water buffalo cape buffalo and bison with it you normally will only get a single long shot but it usually takes only about 75 yards of running for it to die which is not much off from the 300 which normally takes about 50 to 75 yards to die with a single long shot

And imo teamed up with the Hyperion scope it is very very accurate all the way out to render and you will drop deer with a single shot at render with it with polymer tips pretty much it still gets most of the time a double long shot

My first bought rifle after .243 was 7mm and those 2 are quite a pair. 7mm is only a single bullet rifle but reload is pretty fast. .300 is the best heavy prey rifle but 7mm has the higher spectre of animal you can hunt. From the wild boar and F-deer, R-deer to the bison. I agree that in this day and age .270 rifle is not worthy but 7mm is a worthy rifle you can gain plenty of levels and money with.
