You could try to to go the TheHunter game on Steam, manage my DLC and disable the Te Awaroa DLC

Sounds ridiculous but that fixed it for me

I always put my tents a little over 250m/272 yards away from where the animals are. Under that and they can hear and spook. I try to put my tripods at 150m/164 yards to 300m/328 yards from the zone. Around 250m/272 yards they won't hear the shot most of the time either. If you are hunting with the air rifle 100m/110 yards works great for a tripod.

Still not working? I've had mine mess up several times on my old PC. There were several problems. 1. I needed to do windows update. 2. I had updated my graphics driver, but I had to download it and reinstall it again without doing it through gforce experience. 3. I had to actually start a new game once. I was told I could back up my save, which I don't remember how they said. However, I just started over, and it did fix it. 4. I think I already told you this earlier though, but I cleared a cache somewhere? and verified the files on steam to try to fix the Te Awaroa crash and huntermate issues. It worked somewhat. The only thing that fixed that was when I got my new PC. Really hope you can get it working

82 yards not sure what that is in meters off the top of my head. It can actually hit up to about 90 decently. it has birdshot, buckshot, and slugs.

The effective range is 27.34 yards and it's class 2-5 but as said it can shoot up to about 90. For buckshot I honestly wouldn't go over 50 yards if possible.

Yes it's a glitch that I get sometimes. It has to do with the controller, because it happens with the controller on PC too, but I haven't experienced it with mouse and keyboard on PC. I play on both PC and PS btw

is there a way to sneak up on a coyote? this heart shot at night mission is the last one my dad has on layton lake, but i cant sneak up on them to save my life. I could get the shot if I could weasle my way in for a good angle. i basically only use my bow so not being able to sneak up on a coyote is weird!

Sneaking up on coyotes or foxes is very hard. You should call them in instead.

Also when you call them, they won't arrive in a straight line like a deer would. Coyotes/foxes tend to avoid open areas and circle around to arrive from your flanks for example. You have to be patient.

As far as I have seen, fast travel in SRP and Yukon is completely broken. Layton and Vurhonga seem to have only one outpost that is broken, but I need to check more. Not sure about the others.

Just checked all the outposts in Vurhonga Savanna. The only one that is bugged is Xipembele Rila outpost in the Xibodlo Delta (south east side; the outpost is the one nearest the south river). It consistently dumps me at a tent in the region.

@desert widget it's not your connection's fault, some people blame players for ALL cotw issues... even just days after a "fix" with dozens of bugs supposedly adressed, and hours after a post with dozens of new known issues
cotw updates have that kind of issue, at least on steam
with every update always several players post here because they have proboems downloading them
sometimes it ends up finishing installing if you leave it alone for a while, sometimes you need to exit steam and redownload it

I used to be able to holster my weapon, and then from there I could hit up and then cycle through my weapons and pull out what I need. But after I hit up, and then hit left/right for next/previous, it just pulls out the last weapon I had. I can't seem to cycle through weapons unless I'm holding one. Am I doing something wrong?

Well tripods (DLC) work fine in stead of the temporarily faulty hunting stands. I always carry one with me anyway, so I haven’t had to deal with this bug.

I just had a persistent sound of walking through brush (allthough there wasn’t any brush). I tried to set up the tripod I carried, crawl into it, exit it, pack away the tripod. The persisten brush sound was now gone. At least one work around to fix that sound bug, if you carry a tripod with you.

• turn off hunt club
• run steam as administrator
• verify game files integrity
• update GPU drivers
• rename save folder and see if fresh save has the same issues

Often times, max weights end in a “.00”. It’ll also the the top of the max weight estimate (you can check the exact figure by checking a track and going to the map where it shows the currently tracked animal)

On Rancho, I use the M1 for the Peccarie squadrons. and 7 for the single important -Deer animal. I carry both on Rancho.

I've just watched a video tutorial and the guy tells there that Layton has much less animals that you can shoot to without any problems and kill by making only one shot.

Hirschfelden is unique, as you need to put just a little more effort into hunting it. And you can use many different styles of hunting effectively.

Btw, By first hour of my gameplay I was playing on Leyton and it was much harder for me that Hirschfelden, but maybe let's stay focused on main question, which gun is best for begginer including DLCs? Another question that I have right now is do we have any other map that is better for begginer than Hirschfelden or Layton Lake (including DLCs)?

A good tip is go stand to stand, since they are typically places with open areas or clearing, which are good for feed zones.

Bows are also effective if you want to spook as little as possible between stands or at stands, use the callers and/or scents and stay at the stand for a bit. Works well alot of the time.

id say te awaroa is a good map for beginners, aside from the turkey you can take everything on the map with the beginner gun (243)

not that it takes down red deer well but, if you do the te awaroa missions you get the 303 which is a good class 4-8 gun

Hello, So I just bought silver ridge peaks and im having an issues, at some point I played this map with a friend and got several outpost now that I just bought it tho I cannot fast travel to any of those location nor can I claim them(cus they already apear claimed). if I fast travel to them I go back to the last place I was, which is the start of the map. I did find a new outpost and I was able to claim it and I can fast travel to that one but none of the others. Anyone know of this issue or how to fix it?

I've made various turkey set ups across the map and I've realized that I've been wasting my time. After the first hunt, the zone basically feels useless. On the first hunt each time the turkeys arrive right on time. Each time afterward I found myself waiting until the end of the need time and still seeing no turkeys.

Basically: Don't try and hunt turkeys properly with a decoy. It doesn't work.

ok joined to see if anyone else had this problem. Ive been tracking a moose pack for like 3ish miles on layton lake and i came across a field next to a pond where the mooses were walking towards me for some reason. So i prone down with my mosin, wait until a moose gets close enough, and i shoot it in the head/neck (I do hit it, blood splatter). So i track the moose down into some brush and like 50 feet in i see the moose starts charging at me. I shoot it in the chest (probably the lung, panic shot, it was like 5 feet infront of me) but it glitches on a tree. It just is there spazing out so i clip dump like 5 rounds of 7.62 into it and it vanishes, im assuming towards where it was going and i lose the trail. Is this a common glitch on xbox one or what? im on single player so like 0 ping

With its penetration you're unlikely to hit a vital, and even if you do, the moose will run for a very long time before dying, and your medal will be degraded

Excellent on class 3s, performs better than you'd expect, and at least for me the class range enables some flexibility in loadouts

For example: all you need in Parque is the 22LR rifle, the Mosin and your favorite class 9 weapon and you're set
