If you put them down on singleplayer, yes they will stay down on your map. In multiplayer, if you're not the original host, they will be returned to your storage when you leave.

If you have your dog out, and quit to main menu then reenter a singleplayer map with tents, you'll have one (randomly?) removed
This is a known bug that will be fixed with the release of Arroyo
Until then, you can circumvent this by quitting the game instead of quitting to menu, or making sure you put your dog away between switching maps from the main menu

Hu everyone, new player here so sorry for any annoying or repetitive questions asked,
But Is anyone able to take any photos of any coyote need zones in mount leviathan?
I know need zones are different for each player, but Iām constantly lapping my designated area
And returning at different hours including ignoring the mission and doing other ones in the meantime.
There are literally no traces of coyote here, no sounds, scat, tracks anything. Other places? Sure thing.
I now have both āvaluez-late nights with the dogsā and āvaluez #1ā active bith are spotting and now
harvesting two coyotes here.
Secondly, 3 of my definite kills have just disappeared with no trace.
Theyāve been vital organ shots, plenty of blood, and Iāll track them to a certain point only for a dead end to a;pear.
I also have the bloodhound DLC and even my dog just switches to idle at the end of the track.
Only one of the kills were credited, but there was no harvest screen just the money and exp lit up.
Is this a noted bug?

Thatās were Iām confused aswell. Iāve landed plenty of shots and successfully tracked alone or with the dog, but Iāve had 3 that just vanish. Tracks and blood harshly end and I do get the hunting pressure added. But I wasnt able to find the animal. All have been long range shots so at first I thought I just missed the animal, then maybe I just couldnāt find them. But now with the dog its weird even they canāt find the dead animal.
Definitely an option, I havenāt reached the level or havenāt the money to grab the better gear yet

There's a persistent bug you should be aware of: shooting an animal and having it die outside of your render distance (410m), or killing it within render but moving further away from the body than your render distance, will turn the animal's body invisible

As for the coyote zone thingy, those missions are pretty hard. I know that I hadn't find any need zones on that area for a long while. My only suggestion would be to try to hunt during the evening/night, where coyotes are more active and more likely to wander around, and just being patient
If you find a zone close to the mission area but not quite inside, try using your caller to bring them into the mission area. The jackrabbit caller has a range of 200m

Ive got a question, any luck with rabbits? I go to the zones and try to call them in with the deer grunt, but sometimes they aren't even there, they don't approach, or they're hanging out far away from where I last saw them. Sometimes theyre bugged too and get stuck handstanding, or on bushes. They also dont return after spooking them once.
Also everything seems to flee within 150 meters of me fast traveling to my tent even when I go prone first.

There are more deers aswell with different levels

Your hunts will get much more successful when you discover the need zones where the animals are. Usually the first time you visit a location you wont be as successful. But the next time you'll have a good idea on where they hide (The same animals will be there around the same time of day).

Need zones would be the best choice. They are zones where animals eat/drink/sleep at almost exact times
if there is a need zone of the animal you need in the correct region, then change the time to the need zones start and wait for animals to show up there
