Do you know the range of dead zones? Because like if the range of decoys are 500m, do I still need to set up decoys in multiple areas to avoid dead zones, since birds would still land near me like normal

For waterfowl in particular, if you have decoys down then hunting pressure doesn't effect them at all

So you can still shoot them in the dead zone pressure

Ofc it would still effect any non-waterfowl zones in the area

anyone know if theres a fix for the issue from apparently 2017 that still isnt fixed where when im close to someone in multiplayer their player model is inside of me and i can see it in my view and it flickers.. i already changed the graphics to vulkan and updated my drivers, didnt do anything. i know amd has alot of issues so if its because of my graphics card im gonna be really sad ngl :/

Amd has not alot of issues. Idk what you talking about. But thats just a visual something that just wont get changed in the game. Its not really a glitch. They just didnt render anything else in from that point of view then what your seeing

usually I just go to a different map then come back and that works

Are you hunting the entire river system on the outer perimeter of the map. You should have around 45-50 drink zones just on the river. There are about 4 or 5 lakes that have CB as well.

Never tried the ATV thing. I just carry a tent with me, run around the perimeter and kill all the level 5's and up that I see. When the drink time ends, drop your tent, reset the time and press on.

Personally I loved emerald isles and silver ridge peaks, but a lot of the maps are really good. I recommend playing some multiplayer on those maps, or watch some yt videos and see what ones appeal to you the most

i have a bit of a problem here, since im on my g1 grey wolf grind and everything went smoothly until around 100 kills. wolves stopped showing in their zones despite the fact the zones aren't shot out, tents are placed exactly 300m away from the zones (aside from pickup tents), and the time skip and main menu trick aint working. is there a solution to this? thanks in advance

If you fail one of these, it'll drop the ranking down regardless of its trophy score.

what we know and people repeat is that Great One can spawn even from level 2, people try to manipulate diamond spawn rate by shooting down ton of males but who knows if that works in probabilistic system you can have pretty big streaks of diamonds even if herd management doesn’t affect it, I have kept a lot high level animals on map and 8s even 9s still keep spawning in regular pattern I do not notice increased rate of 4s and 3s as one would expect, even if herd management affects it (shooting down most of your map) I believe it is neglectable effect, but one thing I noticed some herds are performing way worse spawn way more low level animals (I call them stubborn), so if you want to optimize you should remove such herds from rotation, also some herds always turn to female only and pattern repeats with such herds (even after smoking females to return males there) I would also remove such herds from rotation to rotate only on herds that deliver high levels often, also I believe this can shift as you play through, good performing herds stop delivering etc., system is pretty complex thus long post with my observations

Hello I got roughly 200-300 hours now with the classic Edition and call of the wild combined, I think i'm ready to do what people call "grinding for great ones" how do I do that?

At the most basic, you just pick the g1 you’re after and shoot + claim harvests for males of that species on whatever map you want it to spawn on
Except roe and fox, where you’d want to shoot the entire zone down (they’re always solos or pairs)

Past that it’s just whether you want to do HM or not, picking your exteriors/mains, etc

Hm isn’t needed for a g1 grind either, but some folks think it helps for some species. Totally up to you but not required. Mainly helps ya get more diamonds and when rares spawn they’re usually high lvl

Herd management. Basically the process of lowering zones you don’t like and raising up others you do

So for red deer you’ll want roughly 70-80% of your population to be small lvl 5s or below

Small lvl 5s as in ones that look close to lvl 4s. But, that’s entirely up to you, you could even leave lvl 6s. Just depends how hard ya wanna go into it. You can go from 1/200 Diamond rate to 1/10 or better

For a first grind ya might just shoot everything and call it good ngl the hm process can be tedious and some people find it mind numbing to the point of giving up lol

For my maps, parque Fernando had a ton of good lvl 7-8 reddeers the first time i was on that map, so think i should start there. I heard that Te awaroa is supposedly the better option appareantly, but the New scotland map is also more consistent for me to find Red deer

Sometimes. Most people choose maps based off the amount of deer on map + what the terrain is like (tall grass, mountains, etc vs flat ground, open shooting lanes, etc

Higher population = higher dime rate (if doing hm, but not needed unless you’re rly going for super rares and all as well), also more zones to choose from
Lower pop = quicker to hm

Lower population also makes it much easier when finding bouncers n solos

You’re shooting them from elsewhere and they went back. If you go find them again, kill them, etc then they’ll probably come back again. Most herd animals in this game have bouncers.
