HM just gets you more diamonds per kill so higher chances for super rares (rare/very rare furs as diamonds). If it affects g1 frequency or not is not confirmed either way. Everyone has different opinions.

sometimes if you kill all the males at once they can jump to other zones

Do dogs spook animals? Just in general? I have a feeling the pointer does during tracking but I haven't had any other issues with the other two. But having a bit of a discussion with a friend on the dogs after they had a issue where birds would instantly flee when they had a dog out, but I've never experienced this and have had dogs running alongside things within 10 metres of me and not spook.

also i’ve had the retriever run to the flock of ducks to pick up while there’s ducks and no problem, although i know there’s tons of problems with multiplayer or if you’re talking about magpie geese, the crocs make them flee

Could i have help getting explained how herd management works

• Find all your herds (and solos) via drink zones. (Can do other zones but drink zones are easiest.)

• Pick x amount of zones you love to hunt at - these zones have good visibility, easy to shoot your targets and ideally has herds with males and females. These will be your main zones.

• Other zones you hate hunting at (bad visibility, pain in the butt to get to, solos,etc) will be your exterior.

• Depending on your target animal depends on what you shoot vs what you dont shoot.

• Example: whitetail deer

• Exteriors (bad zones) shoot anything that isnt a level 1 or a very small level 2. [I personally shoot everything level 2. My exteriors only have lvl 1 bucks]

• Keep shooting your exteriors until theyre at the small levels you can ignore.

• You can ignore solo zones completely if you want to. Your choice. If you dont want to, shoot them if theyre big. However- solos move around so you'll always have to find their respawn zone.

• Main zones= good zones you love to hunt.
  2 ways to do it: Shoot every male in these zones.
  Or

• Shoot every male except any diamonds or diamond potential males. Keep these until all your Exterior zones are small males only.

• Another personal opinion and thing that works for me: if a main zones goes female only, Harvest (and collect) 1 female from that zone and leave it be for a round or two. A male should come back.

I've seen people recommend to use this mechanic to rotate some animals from singles into herds before.

To get them to respawn all you have to do is go to the menu and reload the map. if it makes you feel better, hope in a different map do some hunting then go back. I don't know how to answer the other question. I'm not a grinder.

i get that, i’m in about 7k harvest on whitetail rev & i’ve had my times where respawns were terrible, if i have went back and remanaged my map 3 times when respawns slowed down or my main zones started to disappear, have to make sure you’re only taking out 2 per zone, if you shoot a zone down to 1 female left they won’t respawn, try to keep 8-10 zones, if you’re having problems add a zone.

there’s no set number of zones, solos can join herds & leave them, plus you might have a total different number of zones from someone else & zone numbers change constantly

what i do personally is try to go out to check for jumpers/big solos every 500/1000 or so kill after i finished hm

If you can't get any good angles, treat that spot as an exterior and shoot it down so you can focus on better spots with better angles

Maintaining all my zones takes a while....but there's plenty to shoot, keeps pressure moving around and helps me learn my map and my herds.
I've moved 4 zones into "exterior" status like this.
I still pop in every now and then to keep an eye on new spawns / moving solos.

Do what you want. If you wanna keep the 8/8 do it. If you want more zones, take more zones. All up to you

None. This is my first time doing it and its only been like..2 weeks? Im not after a G1. Dont really care about them. Herd management is for diamonds and rarefurs. G1s are always random.. im More so for rare furs n stuff. I've gotten 7 diamonds, and have more I havent shot yet.

Im doing fallow rn. I shoot my solos if theyre big enough. If theyre level 2 I leave em be.

To my knowledge you first can find a heat map, I use lady legends discord for such things. You then find all the drink zones, picking the 8 best and 8 ok ones from the lot you set up tents around 250m from them in view of the target then a tripod next to it. You then proceed to shoot the small trophy animals from the main zones and the large trophy animals from the side zones so you can get high levels in the mains. Don't shoot high levels from the mains until all the side zones are shot down to low levels then go ham on the mains?

Hey I have a question I’m t dry ing to do a managed grind for white tail and I know you have to shoot out your exterior zones and as your shooting out your exterior zones you gotta keep rotating your normal zones but my question is how do I know what zones to set up on do I set up on all my main zones then take one of my main zones and set up at a exterior zone shoot it out then repeat?
