I find emerald coast to be amazing, best money maker currently as far as I know, many unique species and nice hunting spots.

I personally just love to hunt reindeer/caribou. Then you got bear for bigger game, musk deer, birds, lynx for smaller game.

Goal is to just see what happens. Most of my trophies come from wandering and just encountering something.
Just walking around on Layton I got 2 Albino does and a piebald moose. A diamond whitetail, and diamond blacktail. Just cause I got a new gun and wanted to test it out.
No mods cause 1 im console and 2 I play single player only.

Any map that has animals you like is good to do. I like Layton as my test thus new gun map cause I dont care if I botch a shot or make a dead zone.
Ill wander on medved cause I love hunting reindeer. Found a piebald moose doing that.

Yukon I jist like wandering around to see how many packs of wolves I can get to aggro since im horrible at finding wolves. So they come to me

I've tried 1 red deer grind and it got boring pretty fast. Only got a piebald silver and 4 diamonds from it. It just seems like a job to grind.

Guys what do I do if one of my lakes depleted from 2 bucks to all females? I’m in a whitetail grind in askiy ridge and everything’s going wrong. I have 38 drink zones discovered. Is the problem that they didn’t respawn yet or they moved to a different undiscovered zone? And what do I do to replenish the bucks there? It’s a main zone for my grind and this is pretty bad.

you were set up on the wrong zones

Do not grind zones with more than 2 females, 3/4m and 1f or 2/3m and 2f are the best zones to grind.

Try out some various types of weapons to get a feel for the type of play you like, If you wish to look at dlc maps then multi player can be a free demo, There is a free shooting range on hirschfelden in the bottom right for testing weapons and aim, if you need some easy money I would recommend looking up a geese beginner hunting tutorial. Cheap to set up and rather chill.

I think both are great but I love Yukon more - it's my #2 map. Vurhonga is just outdated and the models look a lil wonky since its an ancient map by comparison. When the species eventually get updated though, those trophies will be absolutely stunning.

From my experience, respawning animals have a chance to come back either a little smaller or a little bigger than they were before. A 3 can't immediately respawn as a 1 and vice versa, for example, but a good 2 could come back as a 3, and a 3 could come back as another 3 or a 2, depending on it's current weight when shot.

My experience suggests it's typically around a 15-20% max increase or decrease, but could be anywhere within that range as well, including basically no change. It's mostly luck, but the current HM theory suggests that the average "quality" of a species' population, could impact the chances of an animal respawning better or worse, at least to some degree.

Ultimately it is all RNG though, all we can do is steer in one direction or another, a bit.

There's a balancing mechanic at play that helps influence the direction kills go. Essentially to keep people from turning every animal into a high level or a low level

Take down two 3s within a short time frame and if one respawns as a 2, the other is more likely to respawn as a 4 than another 2 to keep the balance

Obviously there's a lot of nuance to it but that's the gist of how herd management and stacking works to get high dime rates

Well, Great Ones specifically have their own respawn mechanics outside of the normal level possibilities, so even a lvl 1 could respawn as a 10. They're special.

Hello, could someone help me out with something that hurt my head so bad, I’m in to my second grind, HM down mule deers so like 97% is lvl 2, but I keep getting low 3s even a 1. It depends, it’s lots of rules and simply one or another can’t go out and hunt, you need a license, the license is similar to drivers license, you have to go through multiple lessons and tests, but it’s very common for people that live outside the cities to get one, the community is not like “we hunt because it’s fun” sort of thing, it’s more like “we hunt to secure health and heard-mange” so mostly the hunt so the population of the animals is at a good level, say bear for example, bear hunt is once in a year, so hunting teams all around the country are able to mange down the bears to a good level so the bear don’t push other species out from the woods and so on, boars is shot to mange down the amount so traffic incidents decrease, it’s a lot of those things to keep the animals healthy and the risk for animals in neighborhoods go down.

Hey... I'm a bit confused after watching the guide about head management, for Te Awaroa, I want to farm GO red deer, I have 16 tents - 8 zones of "my lakes" and 8 "outside zones" and now the question is, on "my lakes" kill 4,5 and 6 and on "outside" 7,8 and 9?

You can just shoot big deer on all your zones

If you’re doing herd management you gotta shoot down all your outer zones

So shoot them until there is only small deer

Then on your mains you’d just keep shooting

It is not the most optimal form of herd management but it does work a little and you will get a great one eventually

It's likely related to a connection failsafe (which is important to have) to help keep hiccups in the connection from removing people from the server. If the connection is poor and the upload/download rates are low, the "kick" action could take longer to translate than the activation of the failsafe.

So the kick happens, but the failsafe was already triggered, so the game remains despite there not actually being a connection

If you're jumping between different zones, you can keep going without much worry. Just keep an eye on your hunting pressure

Depends on what you are looking for, what species you like, what type of play you do. People who like bow hunting exclusively may like maps that are dense far better then rifle hunters for instance. Can look up videos on the maps and try them out in multi player if you like.
