That said, the more you know about your population - ie location, solos, etc - the more efficient your grind can be

i used to play classic on pc but i remember a lot fo the keybinds being decently normal for most things. the ui does leave a lot to be desired though lol im hoping they get on that soon.

where do you have to travel to exactly? you can only have one mission active at a time so go to mission log in the pause menu and check you have the right mission active!

theres no ‘right mission’ as such, in the mission log theres the ‘story missions’ at the top which is the narrative of the map, and side missions usually have a bit of a story but not said to you. like another hunter challenging you or someone asking you to get a few animals for an event type of thing.

im assuming you want to follow the story missions first so just double check which one, the side missions will pop up on the phone and even if you decline them they will still be active, accepting them just puts them as the main mission which shows up on ur phone!

ive never experienced a bug of having to reclaim outposts but if you force close the game too soon i think sometimes it may not save that you actually did it. it saves on every major thing so claiming outpost/lookouts, killing an animal, harvesting an animal

My recommendation would be to get the perks: zeroing, recoil management, and everything else that reduced aim wobble. In skills, work your way up to disturbed veg. Make sure you unlock all of spotting knowledge and tracking knowledge.

Tips on coyotes in Cheelah Hiking Village (Vualez #5)?

Seriously are there any Coyotes that cross through the village? I've played this game enough that I thought I knew the mechanics, but maybe I'm missing something (new char at lvl 12, trying to clear all quests starting at Layton Lake) . I've stalked around in the night, in the day, looking for any tracks, any need zones. I've posted up at the nearby lake with a electro and jackrabbit caller at night during their usual drinking times in a tripod stand, and nothing. scent eliminators the entire time.

Honestly, as an early player the best thing is to just go out and kill a bunch of things. And don't taxi anything lol. (Mistake i often make)

Emerald Coast is a popular money grind with crocs in the upper right part of the map but really any rapid hunting will get you cash pretty quickly

I used to take a semi auto 556 and hunt massive packs of Bison with it for easy kills while still trying to place my shots well, but I ran into a constant issue with hunting preassure climbing too quick. Yeah the pressure will build pretty quickly when you go crazy. The area for crocs is pretty large and they don't group up as much so you can hunt section by section and then circle back once you hit the end

Check watering holes. All life revolves around water, so you're bound to found something near it! Also, be patient, when you hear an animal noise, crouch in the general direction of said noise and see if you can spot anything. Avoid running/walking through thick bushes as they make a ton of noise especially if you don't have any perks/skills, you'll spook things before you could ever even see them

And if you find need zones, try checking them again at a later date. Just remember the animals don't just sit exactly on the icon, more so in the general area of their zone

Oh and I know this might be unpopular as a lot of people like to grind which is cool. But enjoy the walk, I personally love walking through this game's scenery even if I don't see any animals. It's pretty relaxing, it's like touching grass without the hassle of actually touching it

Can someone explain why single player waterfowl duck hunting/ goose hunting is functionally sound. Birds land with minimal need for decoys etc. But on multiplayer servers created with friends, no matter where or how i set up birds flee the second they render. Sometimes when you are in mp, the game says you are making maximum noise. I play on Xbox and this occurs from time to time. There is no easy fix other than running around and waiting, but check your noise bar next time you finish setting up. Also make sure nobody is near you (especially with a 4x4).

No not really. Mountain lions spook them all the time and there are better maps for deer, like Askiy Ridge and Emerald Coast. But if you like a lot of Big game species SRP is definitely a good map to go for. There’s a lot of Bison, Rocky Mountain Elk, etc. And it’s the best Black Bear map.

Askiy ridge is a must have map in my opinion. It’s like the perfect map for new players and seasoned veterans. Silver ridge peaks is also a very fun map, but if you’re looking for a unique experience instead I’d say Vurhonga Savanna or Emerald coast.

Personally I’d go for Askiy Ridge and Emerald Coast though. It’s very easy to make money off of both of them and they’re just really fun maps in general.

hi I'm in the process of farming a great one pheasant on the mac park salzwiesen and I'm having a little trouble finding the pheasants, do you have spots and times where I can find them quickly because I think that's my big problem

Download COTWcompanion and search up the map, and then you can select the pheasant and it’ll show all the zones

look everywhere there is not marshes

find at least 10 herd zones

set tents on top the zones and then duck blinds out front

u just rotate the tents kill every male in each zone and thats about it

Hello 🙂 Recently getting into the game and have picked up a bunch of dlc for the winter sale, I bought sundarpatan and am really interested in hunting some rare Snow Leopards but it seems my interest is in a really difficult animal to find/hunt. I tried to look online for advice on hunts for them and it advises just running around the north of the map until one alerts to me and track from there. Figured id ask here incase anyone has any extra advice for me 🙂

for one, there is only 8 snow leopard per map, so they are extremelyhard to find, and two, they have very veey very good senses

Do you think it would be worth getting 1 dog DLC and leveling it up to be able to find snow leopards?

essentially u can kill every male in ur herd zones, without them swapping and stuff usually. they will stay in their herd for the whole grind. just throw tent on zone, duck blinds in front, kill 2 harvest, move to next, do this every rotation till g1 its just shooting them is diff than shooing ducks takes like 200 kills to get A1 at

I havent really done any 'grinds' yet, just did a bit of aligator farming for some starter cash and got 1 albino which is the 1 trophy I have atm

the top left pic is a common setup without spawn locked area, the two lakes pointed red are spawn locked, and commonly people only hunt those, the circled lakes on scot are spawn locked, and the #1 section on salz is spawn locked

When you kill an animal, you make an open spot for a new animal of that species to spawn in. They don't fully spawn in until you harvest the kill.

Respawns come back as the same sex, but their weight, antlers, size, etc can and most likely will be different. There are a few species with special respawn rules (ie Roe Deer and Red Fox can only respawn if you kill both the male and female of a pair if it isn't a solo) but in general it's kill and harvest one > new one spawns

well they will, eventually, but all u have to do, on any of these maps, once the foxes zones go bye bye just wait 15 min after last kill, reload map, and kill 6 male foxes outside of the spawn locked areas and do not harvest them. leave map, reload and wait for respawns to refresh, it should force the spawn locked spots to get the respawns

and it is not instant! most animals respawn within 10-15 minutes real time AFTER you harvest, or leave the map

you can leave animals lay, but they wont go into the respawn pool timer until you back out of map

and you cannot get g1s anymore from animals that you kill and dont harvest

Depends on how rigorous you want to be about setting up your grind. Technically you can just camp a few zones and eventually you'll get what you want. The more you invest in setting up a long term grind though, the more it'll reward you in the end.

Like if im tracking something and it keeps running north, will it eventually double back south?

some will run further if u double spook them

but if u let them go calm after first spook they usually run ~500m away and double back once calm again. or if its already toward the end of their zone time they may even skip ahead to their next zone
