He starts the time at 10:50 and then shoots the males, in tripods, and the zone shiw up on the map so it's not hunting pressure, he has all of his zones (67) and he hasn't shot any females and shoots 2 bucks at a time. some shiw up, but not all. and he claims them too. any ideas?

I've used the fawn for the bears when i've been within 150 and they're calm and doing mating calls and they just don't care

Zeroing can be tricky if you ain't used to it

I'm probably the only person whose been playing for a number of years that doesn't use zeroing. I just go by what the effective range on the gun states, which is almost always default zeroing.

Oh I’ll just pop in to add, I’ve played without zeroing this whole time. It’s great without it, or with it
Zeroing is extra math for me in a game that I just wanna shoot animals in
Just account for bullet drop and you can shoot things just fine
Only really beneficial when shooting in air targets- everything else you can just practice like normal

The only larger species rev has are Lynx, whitetail, brown bear, and moose

Askiy has beavers, mulies, whitetail, Manitoban elk, moose, caribou, wolves… so many more lol

Most of the vids ect that you find are pretty basic. If you try for yourself you will learn alot more then watching videos. Just watch 1/2 videos and just start. You will see for yourself when you follow the steps it will be alot easier

Yes takes alot of time but i like that difficulty. So its more up to you what you want. But i did see a difference in diamond rate when i did that change on red deer. Took me 3000 kills to get it where is is now

Both maps are a bit dated and more personal faves of mine .. I’m a bit biased … but I’ve pulled plenty of nice trophies from there in my early game sooo

My first diamond was a Cape buffalo in vurhonga and my first rare was an albino wildebeest ,… also in Vurhonga! Wildebeest also make diamond pretty commonly as well so I think they’re a great starting point for a first trophy if you’ve been down on your luck

I didnt see a SINGLE animal in 20 minutes. I went to this one spot that was glitched when I was modding, where all of the animals were clumped in one spot just to be sure. Sure enough, I made my way over to that spot and all of the animals were right there and all spooked at once, crashing my game.

There’s the game files and the save files , you’ve wiped your save which will fix populations if just those were edited but if the mods mucked up your actual game files then you’ll need to do a clean reinstall

So close the game , uninstall via steam, murk the avalanche studios folder again , reinstall, take it from there

I’d also say if you are interested in it, the pointer dlc is aaaawesomeeee. It’s a way different style of gameplay but quite fun

You can do both in a way, if you level up one of them you will be able to add a secondary trait
Like you can get the pointer dog, max it’s level, then teach it to do basic blood tracking

But you can’t have two dogs out at once

I think they’re both quite good but for different things. The bloodhound isnt really needed unless you find yourself botching shots + needing to track a lot, which you can also do yourself. The pointer is more of a different gameplay style option

You can track either class 1, class 2-5, or class 6-9 with it, as well as specific species if you select that trait

It also flushes birds for ya. Lol

The spring creek manor one has less mounts + extra large mounts, and the saseka one has much more space + extra larges but is very heavily themed

The spring creek is more classic lodge

1. hunters choice bolt action pack, particularly for the .375
2. tripods/treestands if you like that kinda thing, it helps with managing hunting pressure in areas you like to frequent
3. If you feel dissatisfied with the scopes in game, the scopes and crosshairs pack is a nice little addition. You can customize crosshairs too, on any weapon iirc besides maybe bow scopes? Not quite sure. I can double check lol

If you like to do waterfowl hunting, setting up with a 22 or a shotgun and the waterfowl blinds from duck and cover is a great time

Oh and lord, save yourself the trouble- get the night hunting pack. Whatever sounds good to you from those suggestions, get em lol

Im super new to the game myself but for me the biggest help was getting a bigger class gun and switching to polymer tups

softpoints are just as good as polymers if you aim them properly. Close-range broadside shots will often drop an animal within seconds

So, I started a fallow deer grind yesterday. I went to all the possible spots several times and should have found all the zones. Strangely, my respawns are really weird. Either there are none at all, or only after about an hour, or too many. What could be the reason for this? And is it normal that about 70% of my zones are solo zones?

How do you go slow other than crouched? Or is even that an illusion, and going crouched is not really slower?

Well there’s 6 levels of speed (7 if you count the atv)
Running , walking
Crouched fast and slow
Prone fast and slow

Each making less and less noise , prone- slow if you don’t have a backpack and have skills to move through brush quieter will be basically silent

I’d say muck around with the options , set a waypoint and race your way there on each option and notice the difference

when herd managing whitetail in revontuli coast should the amount of deer in a herd fluctuate after killing 2 bucks or should they always be replaced with 2 additional deer respawned into the same herd

Only animal that does this if your zones are only female in a couple of rotations they come back and if they usually spawned with 2 males and now are 1 male it's called a bouncer you need to go round the map and search for bounced on your externals.

I would recommend doing 16 zones 8 mains and 8 externals make a screenshot of your map and circle your mains and other externals and when you complete your externals, make sure to just tick it or remember it.
