If you have the Salsweizen Park reserve you have a clay shooting range to practice, you can try different scopes riffles and shoguns, cartridge's etc. etc. Don't worry bullets are free.

Another thing you can do to kill more, try this—I don't know if it will help you.
Wait until they have all landed and then whistle or ask your retriever to 'flush' the birds.
As soon as they fly up, you shoot and don't stop lollll
Put yourself at 25m from the decoys and the FoxPro x360 if you use it, the first zero point of 25m the spread of the pieces of metal is narrower you'll have more chance to hit the bird.

You can use the .454 Hand Gun, covers class 4 to 9, the brown bear is class 7.

At the start of the game, you should decide which type of weapon you will hunt with most often or the one you like the most (Riffles, shotguns, hand guns or archery) and focus on using that type of weapon early on to accumulate money and skills (Level - Experience). Anyway, as you complete the missions, they will require you to use different weapons and accessories.

The .243 the bullets are free, but it's class 2 to 6, so if your stuck use the .243 to kill animals class 2 to 6 and gain money.

Yes most animals will hear you from far, 100m - 150m, always keep in mind the wind direction, they can smell you from far.
You'll have to master the art of camouflage, at 150m you can walk crouch and slow, at 100m, lay down on the floor and crawl fast, at 75m - 80m crawl slow.
Or go to a need zone and wait for them.

Look also in your skills, you have some to reduce visibility and sound, there's some that will help you when you hide in a shrubs, small tree.
Use the trees and approach from tree to tree, a big pine tree that the branches go all the way to the floor is the best ones, you can crouch when your under it, when i am under a tree they pass just beside me and don't notice me. Use the scent camouflage.

I've been experimenting w/ it lately because I figured the expansion might be good on those hard to drop larger class animals but I'm not getting good results. I've only used polymer tip since I've unlocked it and it still seems to be the better option all around

On your single player map, they will remain there forever until you pick them up (unless the game encounters an issue , but it will let you know and return it to your inventory)

Tents are limited to 16 per map
Hunting structures are variable , I believe you can have up to 32 tripods , but only 16 tree stands or hunting blinds

Feeders are limited to 8 (of any kind) across the map

Decoys ,, erm golly I’m actually not sure , I’ve setup at least over 160 Canada goose decoys on hirschfelden personally so I think the limits will be pretty high
Only stack up to 20 in a specific area tho (aside from turkeys , you can stack up to 5) the luring effect won’t increase further past that

Also if you’re a great shot then I see why you would not need a bloodhound, I need it occasionally but it’s mostly for having a pet lmao

Best specific location to kill a Fox 219 yd away on Hirschfelden Map? Sommer - The Fox & the Scope Mission

If i'm not mistaking, you have to use the .270. and kill a red fox from 219yd 200m with a scope.
I would go near a lake, place yourself in a higher position with no obstacles and lay down to shoot, you'll be more stable.
This mission is a hard one, patience.
You can use your FoxPro x360 but it has 200m range for it to connect, so you'll have to get closer than 200m, send a few calls and back your position to over 200m.

Yes i use it all the time, it has difficulty to track big games, bison, moose etc. Go further up the trail of blood and some times he picks it.
If you have the other dogs DLC, when your bloodhound is fully trained you can train it for a second task, pointer or retriever, my bloodhound is half way trained for it's second task, pointer.

Yes your score of harvest make's a difference in how many points you have, only way to up a weapons level you have to kill with that type of weapon, so use riffles and kill what you can.

You can only save I think 10 harvests. The point of saving a harvest is so you can pay to taxidermy it later on - whether you just don't have the money quite yet or you are farming an animal and only going to do the best

Also, if the animal is in a dense forest, you won't be able to detect or lock onto it; it's too dense.
If you have a clear view with the binoculars and it's still not working, then there's a setting error. If you're trying it with your scope, you must activate the specific skill (Scope Spotting) to be able to lock onto a target with the scope.

I usually use them on Mississippi and get around 2 flocks or more an hour. Definitely slower way of hunting, but the good thing is they spook less than normal, always come back, etc. It’s all down to placement, I usually hunt them in the hills on the south east part of Mississippi. Find a clearing, place decoys, leave game rejoin. And then wait, it usually don’t take that long down there

Best time to hunt whitetail on rev is 11-12 at the end of the drink zone to guarentee they will all be in the zone

Yeah, I know for Red Deer there's something called the troll rack, and knowing what it looks like, you'll know that the level 9 won't be a diamond at all because of it. However, I don't really pay that much attention to racks and such and just shoot things, so there's bound to be more information out there about racks and such 🙂

when you shoot an animal, check out the “truscore” tab, it tells you how the animal is scored, allowing you to use visuals to tell if it has a chance, for whitetail in particular, having a wide tip to tip spread is very important but it also still has to be a big enough rack, but also even the biggest rack can troll if the tip to tip spread is small

also for moose, if there uneven racks with mismatched racks, the differences get subtracted from the score, so knowing things like this can help you to determine the medal

The .7mm covers class 4 to 9 and the .338 class 7 to 9, they cover up to class 9 but the .338 is stronger. The .7mm i use often.

Also, since you are just starting out in the game, I strongly suggest you take the time to read what the perks and skills do. In the beginning, it's better to choose a type of weapon you enjoy hunting with (Rifle - Shotgun - Handgun - Archery), as you will choose your perks and skills according to your hunting style. These perks and skills will greatly help you.

Most animals, apart from birds, have good sense of sight, hearing, and smell, just like in nature, so you must pay close attention to that.

Look around lakes and rivers; you will have a much higher chance of success.

Regarding need zones, let's assume an animal drinks between 00:00 and 04:00; they won't be there exactly at 00:00. Depending on the animal, it takes a certain amount of time for them to travel to that zone. It's usually about an hour after the start of the time window and if nothing spooks them, they will stay until the end of the period.

can someone help me figure out if a server is modded, im in a srp server rn where I have gotten 6 diamonds and 1 rare which normally seems very suspicous and obviously modded, however ive been in this server for at least an hour and almost all other animals are completely normal. The first two diamonds I got in the server real map owner was still in the server and I asked him if its modded and he said it was a new map and completely vanilla so now I am really confused and worried that my trophies arent legit because some of them are ones that i havent gotten before... the original map owner was level 21 btw

Hunting pressure with 3 kills with rifle on top of a zone will nuke it. Different higher number of kills on bow or blind/stand.

I would say yes, all reserves can be done as a beginner. It can be made 'Easier' with experience in the game (Your level), your equipment, and accessories. Of course, the DLCs will help you a lot.
