Look in the peaks and talents, some reduce the recoil, that helps, see if there is something else you'll need.
The talent in shutgun - Recoil Reducer is not only for shutguns but for all weapons.

I think you should do the missions with the weapons you have, the .243 the ammo is free. By doing the missions you'll gain experience, the story line makes you use different weapons and accessories.

Nah, save file usually corrupts after a game crash

But even if your game crashes a lot, odds are your save file won't corrupt

My game has crashed well over 200/300 times, I've been fine

And even when it does, your game gives you a chance to retrieve the save file, I don't think it always works, but it has for me

I would say all maps, it depends more on the bow and arrows used. If you have the High Tech Hunting Pack, you have everything you need for bow hunting. Also check your perks and skills, there are options for bow hunting there.

I bought the DLC for the feeders and did the update, and it somehow took my account from maxed level 60 back to level 46, and all my progress was gone for some reason past 46... I got in contact with Xbox and Microsoft, and Avalanche, and the only thing I got from anyone was to "see if you have older save files saved"... I think I finally found an older save file from the 18th, and the update was of course on the 21st... but how do I use the older save file? No you technically don’t have the pass the harvest check,
using a higher class weapon is often a technique used in grinds to ensure animals are downed quickly and don’t run off far

It won’t affect your grind in any way aside from you’ll make a bit less cash and there is a chance of accidentally shooting rares (or diamonds or .. the great one) and losing scoring, make sure you’re fully aware what weapon you are using before taking a trophy

The Ambient Event: Introduce a random, purely ambient sound sequence:

1. Distant Rifle Shot: A very muffled, single shot from a large caliber hunting rifle (Sztucer) randomly occurring at a far distance.
2. Fauna Reaction: Immediately following the gunshot, a loud and chaotic sound of birds flushing/flapping their wings must be heard, originating from the same general direction (allowing for general direction estimation).

The Goal: The key purpose is to break the feeling of absolute solitude and suggest that the reserve is an active hunting ground where other, unseen hunters are operating. This sound should be exclusive to Hirschfelden.

Crucial Justification (Why the player finds nothing): This sound must be 100% PURE AMBIENT and non-interactive. Even if the player is able to generally estimate the direction of the sound, they MUST NOT find any traces, blood trails, or active hunting pressure.

The Logical Explanation (LORE): The lack of any evidence is explained by the fact that the invisible hunter who fired the shot has already successfully harvested their animal. They promptly hauled the carcass away (to a shelter, car, or ATV) and left the immediate area before the player could arrive. The player only heard the final action of a completed hunt. This dynamic, non-interactive background noise would create huge depth and atmosphere.

It’s not a game specific issue. It’s steam, unfortunately, along with most cloud saves. Been a reoccurring issue with all sorts of games for over a decade as far as I know. The only fix is to manually back up your save files as frequently as you can.

No, it takes longer rotating. Stacking first is the quickest method for knocking out the HM part of the grind.

It does matter- you don’t want 5s in exteriors. All your exterior respawns will be far smaller doing this first than if you just rotated with a bunch of mid levels in your mains.

If you’re struggling really bad to get potential diamonds in your mains then sure, rotating could be more beneficial at the time because it’s likely you have big animals on your exteriors preventing them from spawning as easily

Depends on where your HM is at initially but either way stacking is best to try first

You're new to the game, I presume you just have the base game and no DLCs.

First tip: I don't know if you're like me, but I'm used to playing military FPS games. Here in Call of The Wild, you can't just run and kill everything that moves; you'll have to be much more meticulous. You have three starting weapons: a handgun, a shotgun, and the .243 rifle. The ammunition for the .243 is free.

Second tip: Do the missions on the first map or two. There's a story line that will make you use different weapons and accessories. You need to learn the game mechanics.

If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to ask.

What I like to do, and what I always check, is if I can do two missions at the same time.
For example, let's say I have one mission that asks me to kill an animal with the .243 but not in any given sector. The other mission, let's say, asks me to go to a sector and kill an animal from a blind.
So, I'll go to that sector, use a blind, and use the .243, completing both missions at the same time. That's rewarding.

Playing more free aim/fps style games may help you as well lol
Check your settings and turn your deadzone down, or almost completely down depending on your preference. Helps with the sluggishness

Sensitivity settings might also need tweaking to provide a smoother experience

yes, when that purple bubble pops up that means you’ve killed an animal in that area. if you dont end up killing it nothing will pop up and there blood will also be shown on the ground for you to track aswell

I never use structures unless the mission requires it; I use my DLC blinds.
Look around the lakes and rivers for their drinking zones. Go there at the appropriate times and wait for them if you want; they arrive about an hour after the start of the period and travel to that spot. Hide prone under a pine tree, and use scent eliminator.
Choose the right weapon and ammunition for the animal you are hunting.

You make more noise. Me, I run, but as soon as I hear a warning/alarm call, I lie down on the ground and don't make a move. Always keep the wind direction in mind. I wait a few seconds, it will calm down, then I stay down and crawl.

At the beginning of the game, you will want to earn money and experience so you can buy other weapons. Initially, you have the .243 rifle, and the ammunition is free.
If you can afford DLCs, they will help you a lot.
Your skills and perks will help you enormously; take the time to read them and understand what they are used for.

everyone’s maps will be different, zones spawn at randomly locations so the chances that you find someone that has zones where you do are slim to none, you just have to go out find the zones and then set up accordingly

Lollll. You have to be patient. If you've never played the game, completing the first two reserves takes nearly two months, and you should have reached close to Level 60 with your character.
