HM just usually makes it more efficient to get the most kills as fast as possible and increases your chances of getting diamonds or maybe a super rare/higher medal rare furs

The Odin 4-12x33 scope is the scope I use on all my rifles. Its outline is very thin. I regularly use the Angler 4-8x100 Night Vision scope and the one that comes with the inventory; the color of the Angler night vision scope is blue, not green. The scope's outline is very wide, which reduces the peripheral field of view, making it impractical when you need to take down several animals, but it's a powerful scope and the image is very clear..

There is a scope available in the normal inventory for handguns, the Goshawk Redeye 2-4x20, which requires a handgun score of 1700. The Hermes 3-7x33 scope can be mounted on both handguns and shotguns.

I often use the Tru-Vision sights at night in the dense forest when I expect to be attacked at close range.

Tbh the only real way to hunt them is to get about 200 meters away from the mangroves. When I get home from work I can screenshot my setup and show you where I have had the most luck without having flocks spook.

I know only the host has to buy the reserve dlcs, but how does my friend utilize the other dlcs if he only gets the base game? Should he buy all the same dlcs excluding the reserves? Or is there some that he can use without needing to buy?

Does anyone know any good spots on Layton lakes for Mallards? I've set up the blind and decoys in the north part of the river, the Southwest part, and the swamps in the middle. But I never see any flocks, and the ones I do never come down. The only reason I can think of is that I don't have the skill that makes animals come into your calls more often, but I don't know.

Lakes and rivers are the best spots to find them.

The gray wolf's need zone times are:

Drinking (Lakes and Rivers): 11:00 PM to 3:30 AM

Feeding: 3:00 AM to 7:30 AM and again from 7:00 PM to 11:30 PM

Resting: 7:00 AM to 11:30 AM, 11:00 AM to 3:30 PM, and 3:00 PM to 7:30 PM

You should also look a bit further away from the main lakes. Gray wolves are not always exactly on time, so it's a good idea to arrive a little early. The gray wolf is a predator; if you don't use scent eliminator, the pack will track you and hunt you down. Trust me, they will come for you.

If you start a new game from the main menu, select New Game. This will completely restart the game from the beginning: Level 0, no money, no XP, and no skills or talents. You will, however, keep your DLC.
Essentially, you'll be starting the game fresh, just like when you first bought it.
Before you do this, though, be sure to back up your Saves folder in case you want to go back to your old game.

Guys I think one beaver group on my map is buggy. They just won't start eating and stay travelling. Even though they are calm and on their supposed zone spot. I even restarted the game and they still won't eat

Hello im just starting my whitetail grind on revontuli, it's my first grind so i had a few questions, hope it's not too much bother. Right now i don't have interior or exterior zones, i just grind the whole map, not sure how efficient that is.

Firstly, what is considered a low level 2 deer? i consider a low level those that have a max estimate of under 190.

Then, kind of a dumb question, do ground blinds and tree stands have the same effect as tripods? i've seen people who grind choose them most of the time but im not sure if it's because of the terrain or because they are somehow different.

This one i noticed when i just began my grind, but is it normal for animals to change places from one zone to the other? For example i had 1 lvl 1 and two level 2's on a zone and 2 lvl 1's on another, then suddenly i had the first zone with just level 1's and the second with 2 lvl 2's. Is that something i want?

Finally how much of a setback are zones getting deleted? I was dumb a few times and accidentally deleted a few zones, i did found them again, just with different numbers.

I went to the Middle of Layton Lake on the east side in inlet just east of the lookout on the big hill between 12:20 and 2am (where this map says there are some), Didnt hear or see a peep. ive played this game since it came out but havent played much in last 2 years

Eat: 4:00 AM - 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Tips for Hunting Coyotes and Foxes
Coyotes and foxes are very wary and have sharp senses. They often travel in pairs, a male and a female. When they approach, they will often circle around you, coming in from the left or the right.

You have two main ways to conceal yourself:

Using a hunting tool like a tripod, tree stand, or ground blind.
Lying down on a rock.

In either case, you must use a scent eliminator and remain completely still. Don't position yourself in the line of sight between your caller and the coyote. If the coyote approaches from the north, for example, place yourself to the east or west of the caller.

I recommend using both a Foxpro electronic caller and a manual "Distressed Hare" caller.

Well that's normal, your cash flow depends on what you're hunting, how many things you're harvesting, and how well you kill the animal

And always use an ethical weapon for whatever animal, you get more cash for killing ethically

Most people just to get money up with shoot whatever they see, when they see it. Just make sure you getting good, clean, ethical kills

Okay so every animal has a class, for example whitetail are class 4, and every caliber is ethical for a set number of classes, for example the .308 is ethical for classes 4-8

So if you're shooting whitetail, use a weapon that has the class 4 in it

First, you need to know that you can't just use any weapon and ammo. Each animal has a difficulty class, for example, 1 - Trivial, 9 - Legendary, and the top one, 10 - Great One. These values can be different for males and females, and in most cases, only males can produce a trophy.

With that in mind, you have to choose the right weapon and ammo. There's no point in trying to kill a bison with a .22 LR. Always aim for vital organs.

The Bloodhound dog is pretty much essential at the beginning because you'll often only wound an animal and will have to track it for 600m.

For money, doing missions is the most profitable way to go. There's so much to cover, you'll have to ask questions as you go.

Your best tool is patience. This isn't a game where you shoot everything that moves; you'll have to be patient and strategic.

Yes, you absolutely must master zeroing.

You have three zeroing points. You have to activate the skill for the third one, the long-range 300m zero, otherwise you'll only have the two lower ones, which are usually 50m - 100m or 75m - 150m. For bows, it's 20m, 40m, and 60m.

To explain it as simply as possible: For your shot to be as accurate as possible, you must be physically at the same distance as your zeroing point. If your zeroing point is 50m and you are physically at 50m, your bullet will go to the exact right spot. Let's say you're physically at 75m; your bullet will go a little lower.

This is crucial for shots at 150m - 300m.

You also have to master the art of camouflage, which involves activating skills, clothing, your behavior, and understanding the animal's senses. Several missions require you to get very close to the animal, within 20-30 meters.

Following an animal is not a good technique; it will hear you, see you, and, even worse, if the wind is blowing in its direction, it will smell you from up to 150m away. It's better to find need zones and set up there to hunt it when it arrives.

Lakes and rivers are your best bet because you'll have a clear line of sight, and almost all animals drink there, with a few exceptions. The next best need zone is where they eat, as they are standing up and not lying in the grass.

Recoil is what happens when you shoot. It's the force of the shot that pushes your sight upward. Less recoil means you'll be less disoriented after your shot. Imagine if you activate the skill that lets you fire both barrels simultaneously for 15 seconds—imagine the recoil with two barrels, lollll

Imagine this: The guy gets home after a hunt with a cast on his right arm and a dislocated shoulder from the recoil. He's got six stitches over his right eyebrow from the scope's recoil—it was bleeding everywhere—and a fractured tailbone and concussion from falling backward and hitting his head on a rock. It really depends on your hunting preferences. If you prefer to hunt with a .12 gauge shotgun, you'll have a blast with the birds in Salzwiesen Park (Germany). There's even a clay pigeon shooting range you should try.

Hi!

First, I notice that the area's alert level is low, indicated by the dark circle. It will turn purple for a medium alert and light pink for a high alert. This is caused by hunting. The higher the alert level of a zone, the less likely animals are to come back. If the alert level is low, they might return to the same spot or go a little farther away. If they don't show up at that spot, you'll need to find a new one.

As for the rest, it depends on your distance from the hunting stand, the weapon you're using, and so on. Keep in mind that it will be a bit more difficult to attract them since the area is already at a low alert level.
From my perspective, the best hunting conditions are during the day.
First, I prefer a watering hole since I have an unobstructed view. Second, I look for a feeding zone because the animals are standing up. Last, a resting zone is the hardest since they are lying down in the grass and rocks. I like to lie prone, as it's much more stable at a zeroing distance of 75m - 150m and it's crucial at 300m, but I try as much as possible to be physically at the zeroing distance.

But really, it all comes down to personal preference.

From what I understand about how vital organs work, in order for an animal to pass the harvest rules (Ethical Hunting), you need to hit a lung, the heart, or both. If you only hit one lung, you'll get the harvest, but the animal will die further away. If you hit both lungs, it won't go as far. And if you hit the heart, it drops like a sack of potatoes.

If I shoot an animal from the side, it's harder to hit the heart because the leg or shoulder is often in the way. Of course, if your weapon is very powerful, the shoulder won't impact the outcome.

Personally, if I absolutely have to hit the heart on a mission, I prefer to approach the animal stealthily from the front to get direct access to the heart between its two front legs. I physically position myself at my chosen zeroing distance. For example, if I want to kill the animal at 75 meters, I get into a prone position at 75 meters since it's more stable. There are also skills to stabilize your aim.

Liver, neck bones, and brain also count as vitals (though it’s basically impossible to hit brain without also hitting skull, which will fail the “intact trophy” check on most animals)

This is exactly how I like to take down a bear. There's a mission, by the way, where you have to be less than 20 or 30 meters from a bear and take it down with a single shot to the heart. When I was at the right distance, I whistled. It stood up, wondering what the noise was, and I got a shot to the heart. It let out an unholy scream before falling 😲 , and I got a shiver from that, too. 😂

depends on the map because there's quiet a few maps which just complete lack certain groups like Yukon not having any 3/5 or cuatro/the awaroa being <class 7 only
