And then a g1 pops up almost immediately after

My dime rate dies, I spawn 3s and 2s like I never have, and boom, g1

They are reclusive. Sometimes you just have to go in unawares there is a predator of that quality and see if you react in time. WALK not run.

Hey y'all; so I'm aiming to 100% steam achieve Hcotw, however, I've been unable to unlock the Globetrotter achievement even though I already have hirschfelden warrior & lord of the lakes (where you must harvest from every region from the first 2 maps) yet it still hasn't completed for me after traveling to every region; anything I'm missing here?

I did read that starting a new game fixes it by doing it all over again in one setting, but if I do that, can I change my files to go back to my previous game?

That’s odd that it won’t give it to you. My only recommendation other than new game would be unlock every lookout to really be sure you visited everywhere

I set up on all the zones that I have and I leave all the min weight ests (16-20kg). I have about 30-35 managed down to min weights. Shoot as many as I can with the air gun, and a run takes about 20 minutes, so they respawn by the time I reset

Their heads and backs will be exposed. You can get away with hitting the water a little before them and landing a shot, but I aim for the back. Unless they face me. Then they bite the bullet

can be asked to search within a certain radius of the player for scent trails of animals and then follow the scent trails until they find the animal which then they will point themselves at roughly indicating their location (class 1-5 search radius is ~50m and if it is pointing at a bird he can flush it out on command to cause it to fly if need be, class 6-9 search radius is about 300/400m but it can't search for class 6-9 predators)
it is a bit frustrating to use the pointer though because sometimes he just will just not latch onto the scents of animals even if they're like right next to them and it can be a bit temperamental and the small radius for class 1-5 is a bit useless alot of the time)

Okay guys a tip: be careful if you see rares on magpie geese. There is a glitch that puts them in place when shot then they disappear if you fast travel away. I shot a piebald magpie goose, it got stuck in the water so it didn’t float to me, i didn’t have a retrieving dog so i fast traveled to the nearest outpost and got one. Drove back quickly and it was gone but it said on the map that it was shot, but it had disappeared. Drove around the area to see if it had moved somewhere but no. So be careful with this

Tents/stands is huge for quality of life IMO but honestly I'd suggest watching any tierlist made and pick what you like from it as there is a lot of variance in gun packs, maps, etc

For weapon packs here is the essentials! The Pump, Flip, and Fire pack has the anantha mag .22 which is the best .22 available as it combines strength and compacity, and the Frost .257 which stands as the best class 2-3 weapon in game. Beyond that the hunters choice pack includes the .375 which is the best class 7-9 rifle in the game. The last useful weapon pack would be the power pack with the 3 round 7mm for classes 4-7. Map wise, Alberta, silver ridge peaks, and emerald coast are easiest beginners. Both the trophy lodges are a must have. Happy hunting!

Hi, like punia said the main disadvantage is running into mods but beyond that if your using a last gen console on pc you’d be getting better graphics. In my opinion mouse is easier to shoot with as well. Rebuying dlc isn’t awful because a lot of the oldest dlc goes on mega sales fairly regularly on steam. Beyond that multiplayer is usually pretty active on pc too

Please let me know if I have anything wrong. What I gather from watching videos on herd management for diamonds/great ones. Whitetail example. Find all of the drink zone for what your after. Decide what will be your est 10 main zones and 6 exterior. Shoot the high level 2 - max weight 3s in exterior zones until only small 2 and 1s remain. Then switch your gear from that zone to a new exterior zone. In the main zones shoot small 2 and 1s, but leave large 2s and 3s. So the goal here is to have only small males in exterior zones and large males in main zones.

What after? Just grind your main zones as a shooting gallery for large males, hoping it respawns as a diamond or great one in your main zone? While keeping an eye on exterior zones for large jumpers?

so ive been doing some testing by only shooting males in half my groups and everything male and female in others and the ones where i only shoot males dont respawn at all so it does seem like you do need to kill the whole group for them to respawn and the respawning just seems to take longer than other species

now i just go kill everything and stay afk for around 30 minutes while i go do smth else so they got the time to respawn which has been working so far

For ducks you have to kill the whole flock for respawns, so you’ll have to kill those females before more males spawn

The Arzyna .300 Mag Tactical. I think it's one of the best weapons for big game from Class 7 to 9, especially when combined with the Odin scope and its slim crosshairs. Of course, there's no point in using an Arzyna on a turkey; I did it once, and you should have seen the bundle of feathers fly through the air. I just burst out laughing.

So yeah two questions is there a checklist for fur types on the game so you can keep track of if you've shot all the fur types for species and how to perk points work cuz it seems like I'm not earning any now or I get one at random for leveling up

No checklist, but here's a guide for skills and perks

Stalker- Get the necessities that make it significantly easier to hunt. These would be Locate tracks, Only happy when it rains, track knowledge, soft feet, improvised blind, innate triangulation, endurance, and disturbed vegetation.

Ambusher- Again, the necessities. A lot of the skills in the ambusher tree are straight useless like Hill caller or Tag. Just work to get Spotting knowledge, sight spotting, and fatal attraction. Only put one point into scent tinkerer, dazed and confused, and fatal attraction to be able to spend all your points the best way.

Perks.

Rifles- Max out everything except windage. You can get Focused shot if you use iron sights a lot but you won't have a point to spend some where else. Remember to activate zeroing.

Handguns- Spend one point in everything except Survival Instinct and Quick draw, since these two are useless. Max out lightning hands.

Shotguns- Spend one point in Both eyes open and Body control. Max out Fast shouldering and Recoil management. The other two perks have no use since you'll have zeroing activated instead.

Archery- Don't spend anything here. Everything is just about useless. I've had great success with bows without any of these perks.
