When it comes to stacking you want to leave all fives and the likely diamond level 4s then you want to get all your exterior and solo bucks to lvl 2 before shooting your stacks to see if you get the results you desire

If Im in a zone where I dont want to grind for G1 (so I want it to be an exterior zone with smalls), do I leave the 4s in order to force small spawns or do I leave 2's to force big spawns elsewhere

The coast is annoying, so I'd rather have my main zones at lakes

But theres a bunch of 4's at the coast and also 2's

And 2’s is on your exteriors is ideal but you can leave some level 3’s with 150 or lower max estimates. Especially solos you don’t want to track down again. Whatever you’re comfortable with

Just prioritize shooting the biggest males every where except 5’s in your favorite spots. I had about 13 5’s stacked before I got all my others shot down. My 1st G1 spawned during this process. I was about 1200 kills and in. Second came around 600 kills after that.

And "shot down" means the zone has useless fallow that serves as an extrerior zone, where you wont visit but forces bigger spawns at your main zones right?

Yeah. Your map is “shot down” when your whole map is 2’s and those small level 3’s except for the deer in your 10-12 zones you want to grind. This will take a lot of time. It’s a slow process. As you get better managed you can focus on just rotating your mains and then check everywhere else every 50-100 kills. However you want.

One last tip. It’ll be different for every one. But I had a good diamond respawn rate when I was rotating on 16 deer. So when you’re only shooting 15-20 deer in a rotation and getting diamonds often then your hm is done.

You're not seeing geese bcs in order for the geese to respawn, you need to kill the full flock

There is a very high probability of being at least one diamond and one rare on any map you own the moment you open it for the first time. High rate of harvesting tampers with this to a degree that varies. As a player your goal should be searching out need zones and searching for higher level animals that can be very evasive.

Exactly. You can start out with very large groups that break up and reappear somewhere else. A lot of them can be single animal in a zone. You are constantly finding new zones just by walking around.

Best worst case example is Fallow Deer in Te Awaroa spawning as diamonds along the coast. Which means a ton of other new zones as well if you haven't looked for some time. More than a few people have maddeningly lost hours looking everywhere but that coast.

If birds are way high and in v formation they are basically ghosts. You have to watch them while calling, you'll see them do a jagged drop down a few meters and then once you can spot the bird you can theoretically shoot the bird.
