Stalker- Get the necessities that make it significantly easier to hunt. These would be Locate tracks, Only happy when it rains, track knowledge, soft feet, improvised blind, innate triangulation, endurance, and disturbed vegetation.

Ambusher- Again, the necessities. A lot of the skills in the ambusher tree are straight useless like Hill caller or Tag. Just work to get Spotting knowledge, sight spotting, and fatal attraction. Only put one point into scent tinkerer, dazed and confused, and fatal attraction to be able to spend all your points the best way.

Perks.

Rifles- Max out everything except windage. You can get Focused shot if you use iron sights a lot but you won't have a point to spend some where else. Remember to activate zeroing.

Handguns- Spend one point in everything except Survival Instinct and Quick draw, since these two are useless. Max out lightning hands.

Shotguns- Spend one point in Both eyes open and Body control. Max out Fast shouldering and Recoil management. The other two perks have no use since you'll have zeroing activated instead.

Archery- Don't spend anything here. Everything is just about useless. I've had great success with bows without any of these perks.

Really good variety in landscapes, all the animal models look really good. Yak, blue sheep, tigers etc. nice mix of big game and small game. Some people may not like it cause unless you set up tents at drink zones you’ll be doing A LOT of walking

I would say so. But that’s just personal preference. Really unique animals, great multi mounts for the lodge. The only map I can say that has an animal so rare you can only hope to stumble upon it and is very exciting every time.

I went to a multiplayer server on sundapartan and damn buffalos are nice to hunt cuz once they notice u they charge at u , leading to sometimes an easier kill, never ecountered a tiger or leopard

Well yeah more you kill obviously better odds. But herd management is to create more consistency by essentially shooting out the middle of the pack where you end up with a bunch of smalls and a bunch of big. So way less 6 and 7’. But if you just want one diamond I would shoot everything

Savannah is great, also a bunch of unique animals. But the he animal models are very outdated. It’s more open than Nepal so a bit easier to hunt, but it’s not my preference.

If they are spooking it’s cause you’re doing it before getting in the structure. I have heard someone say there was a bug where a gun shot sound would happen in multiplayer but it didn’t actually affect the animals.

If you think it might be bugged try moving the structure slightly or restarting game

So I tried to go to the lake where I saw them stalking, nothing too. Set it to 4 am and had 2 other packs show up, one 2 lvl 6 males and 2 lvl 2 females, the other one had 1 male lvl 5 only. I have no clue where the pack went but they are not showing up anymore anywhere. Still learning, but is there a chance that a pack wont go to a need area if they were scared before or something?

G1's can only be male, so shooting females would be useless and would actually hurt your grind (for fallow at least)

Yeah if they are nervous they can drink farther away from their zone. I’ve seen a bear drink at a whole different lake before but wasn’t his zone. I would just main menu and it will reset them.

(Unless you're stacking, if so anything that isn't a max level)

After you shoot enough animals in a zone to a point it gets to a dead zone

Without a hunting structure, if you shoot 4 then it gets deleted

In a hunting structure the 16th kill deletes it

Now if you aren't using a hunting structure then you gotta be careful, cus the 4 kills don't need to be consecutive, it depends on the amount of hunting pressure already present on the zone

Apart from that, shooting a zone down to just 1 animal will make it to where it can't get respawns

the 30 06 bolt action is pretty regular, it works as it should and is on the higher end of the spectrum for 4-8s but I would say the best part is the 45 air rifle since it doesn't spook animals unless they're alert so you can shoot it without spooking animals (for clases 2-4 though)

the 22lr pistol is also handy especially if you have the pistol scope since it's only 1kg but it does take time to learn how to shoot the 22lr pistol

the accuracy stat doesn't matter since that just effects weapon sway so if you can aim properly it will go where you're shooting accounting for drop, smaller caliber means you're more likely to fail to kill because the extra range means you're gonna do worse penetration/bleed and more likely to take longer to take down the animal

and theres no reason to always strive for longer range shots it depends on the situation

also velocity/BC of the bullets as relative to real life can make it more difficult to take longer range shots like 7.62x39 is a way slower velocity and worse BC that will drop at a faster rate then smth like 6.5 that doesn't drop at as fast of a rate and has a higher velocity

and yes because I said 6.5 isn't the best on moose doesn't not mean in every situation you can never shoot 6.5 at 300 meters even on smth like whitetail

44 magnum has more drop and only zeroes to 150 meters but is evidently more powerful then 308 ingame at closer ranges (eg i would say within 200-250m)

and it's damage falls off faster the 308

Once they're down you can shoot your stacked bear

However you could probably leave those 2 5s and it wouldn't effect your dime rate at all

Nah people dont see the fun in something that is annoying. The ability to not see very well is just annoying. Most people dont have the time to hunt at a slow pase because they have other things to do in real life. Thats why they prefer maps that are more open

So they can do more things in the same amount of time
