Just go about it slowly. Find all your moose. Make notes of 12-15 zone markers you want to grind on. Because they are easy to see/shoot on. Pick the best 8-12 and those are you grind zones. You shoot every make there unless you stack diamonds then leave level 5’s there. Visit every other zone as often as you can and searching for new ones and shoot every male above level 2.

People say fallow or mule deer have some of the easiest grinds, but I think by far it’s red deer. Their zones are so clustered it makes herd management far easier than the others in my opinion. It takes way less time rediscovering solos because of that. And their diamonds are gorgeous.

No problem. I found all 8 males and then started rotating on them. Takes about 30 min with good tent placement to get all 8. Don’t have to main menu or anything if you kill them all too cause it’s a new spawn. I got both rares before I got a diamond lol

Theres plenty of tutorials and different ways of going about it. You’d wanna locate all your drink zones which there are plenty pictures if you google that will highlight the common zone locations so you won’t be wandering aimlessly. Some use herd management and some don’t, that really the difficult choice

You can herd manage by killing animals leveled 3-5 (for mule & fallow) and stack small animals (2’s and lower)

That should allow bigger spawns of the target animal and may even decrease the number of kills on average needed to get a GO

Atleast thats to my understanding

Find a map with all their drinking location. Pro xck discord has good ones. Buy as many tents as you can and set them up to access as many spots as possible that have good line of site and are easy to shoot. Then just simply start rotating on them and prioritize shooting the largest males. If you would like herd manage then leave level 5 males alive in your 8 best zones and shoot anything else and then every 3 or 4 rotations try to make it to every other drinking spot on the map and shoot the biggest males. Repeat this until everything but your main 8-10 zones have level 2 bucks. This isn’t easy it will take 100’s of kills-maybe 1k+. As your herds get better managed to can do your checks less and less and focus on your mains.

I recommend herd management. It’s a little more tedious to do than just grind, but it will net you great trophies and give a little encouragement to keep going during your grind. Expect to have to kill at least 1500 males. I think that is typical. Now people can get it way sooner or way later, but all my G1’s have been around that range.

You need to fully check all those peninsulas on the coast. It’s impossible to tent every zone for fallow. You have to do lots of running. You aren’t herd managed until you are comfortable shooting only males in your herds in your main zones. In my opinion. Until that time you should be checking everywhere at least every hundred kills.

With how bad your diamond ratio is you probably got G1 sitting on tip of a peninsula 😂

the spine can sometimes drop very fast or on the spot which for some reason I could never conclude how or why it sometimes happens and sometimes doesn't but if you're using an exceptionslly higher power caliber for the animal it seems to be more likely, more intermediate stuff doesn't seem to have a massive effect if you hit a spine shot

You may be looking for a little while though as there are only 16 of them at one time and they are scattered throughout their range. Their need zones also get moved if you kill the tiger using it

Whats a good gun upgrade from the ranger .243, with a similar class coverage (I already bought the modern guns pack) Just wondering wht other gun dlcs are worth looking at

there's only 3 rifles I knkw off the top of my head in the game which cover classes 2-6 which is 243, 30 30 and 7.62x39

357 magnum is 2-6 as well but only comes in revolvers

it's stats are pretty good but that's offset by the whole being a muzzle loader thing

attempting a broadside heart shot is kinda useless though just go for a lung if you're using a caliber that could penetrate to the heart it'll die soon enough

22 250 is probabaly one of my favourite calibers just, ever being arguably the best centerfire varmint/22 cal for like the last 60 years and the tikka t3x super varmint is a really cool rifle

Yeah, it's just for getting places if you don't have a tent, and it's good for doing the story missions.

I've seen herds before while driving, and if you just follow the tracks... The ATV is faster than the animals, you just have to jump off it if you want to kill something.
