Hi Im trying to do a red deer grind on emerald coast and im using my tents to try to set the time and get them to appear at there drink point like on youtube videos when they sleep the deer just "appear" there and they start shooting but when i sleep and go to the spot theres nothing. the tent is 220-230m away from the nearest point there are 3 drink zones where i am rn i would assume atleast 1 lone deer should be here but no nothing i have to wait for them to get here which takes long enough to be at the end of the drink time and then i have to sleep again practically wasting money. if anyone can help that would be appreciated.

250m is the safest distance for tents. that could be an old video. yes they updated tent spooking to 230m, however an animal can be 30m in any direction from the zone.

yeah, so long as you dont delete your saved data off your platform you'll be fine. if you're on PC, back up your saved data and copy it to a safe folder, uninstall, reinstall, then replace the new saved data file with your saved data

yeah if you go into your system storage settings you should see there's a separate tab for your saved data, idk if y'all can backup your save to a cloud like we can, we have to have PS+ to upload to cloud, so if you know how to do that you can do that, but AFAIK you shouldn't have to worry about saved data being deleted with an uninstall with consoles

because they lazy AF, start time an hour into drink time and see if that helps, if not, exit to main menu and go back in, or try the one minute trick (I prefer doing 5-10 mins)

doesn't need to be 2 hours, it just depends on the zone, some will show up a bit later to theirs than others, like with moose on medved, once you've found most or all of your zones, they show up quicker than what they did when you had less than half of their zones discovered. LadyLegend states this in one of her videos as well.

For my fallow, I start at 1030, 2 of my zones that are first in the rotation dont spawn in until ive reached halfway through my rotation, so I just switch the order I go to them in, and that works for me.

Otherwise check the whole map, starting with the lakes you’ve noticed they jump to most frequently
Everyone is different. Mine used to jump to the south coast, skinny lake, and lake prospect areas

How does hm work?

it depends on the trophy rating of an animal(basically how big it is). There's a skill you can get called "spotting knowledge" in the ambusher category. On level 3 of it, it starts showing what trophy rating the animals have which makes it easier to know if wether it's a diamond or not. If you dont have the skill, you can spot them and check their level. Just shoot the one with the highest level and hope for a diamond. Trophy rating does vary from animal to animal for example, most small game(ducks, geese) can get diamond with 14 trophy rating whilst something like a crocodile becomes diamond at 1100 trophy rating.

This is a key part of the game. Single animal zones especially are noticeable. When first opening a map there are bound to be zones that have a large amount of animals which break up after harvesting from them. All zones will reappear within the home range.

Here’s a few maps of their zones. Check these areas and what zones you would like to hunt. Whenever you’re there just find a nice opening or hill where you can see the zone clearly. Make sure the tent is atleast 200 meters away from the zone as to not spook the animals

if you uninstalled the game and reinstalled it check the installed files in the manage game section and see if you have all the DLC packs installed or just the base game

I don’t remember ever seeing them go under 145-175 weight and almost always over 160 trophy. Then again I’m only now paying close attention to them since they’re the only solos left to herd manage
