Dogs require adaptation to using the second equipment wheel.

Bloodhound requires getting used to having it run in front of you or bump into you while attempting to shoot.

There are numerous guides and hotspot sheets that are a much more complete reference than we could be. Your map has unique zone placement and makeup that continue to change.

The dogs are nice. Especially when you don't own or have ability to equip all the weapons you would like to.

tents & tripods, high caliber weapons, modern rifle pack, ambusher pack, saseka safari lodge

maps r ur choice, go on multiplayer & play some different maps to see what u like

Spend the amount of time required to find every single and herd zone for that animal on your map. Then assess roughly 10 locations that offer the best shooting lines and ease of tent/stand placement. Avoid those 10 completely until you have drove yourself nuts chasing around respawns from shooting everything but low level males and any female in everything else.

When you have things set in those shooting zones with all else low levels. It is quite noticeable when respawns are missing. The process starts all over chasing high levels back to your shooting zones

In general just look for zones and check the times, be there about halfway through the time and most of the time theyre there, also don’t kill low levels, kill higher levels and the game will try to balance it and add more higher levels, so you have a higher chance for bigger scores

Stalker- Get the necessities that make it significantly easier to hunt. These would be Locate tracks, Only happy when it rains, track knowledge, soft feet, improvised blind, innate triangulation, endurance, and disturbed vegetation.

Ambusher- Again, the necessities. A lot of the skills in the ambusher tree are straight useless like Hill caller or Tag. Just work to get Spotting knowledge, sight spotting, and fatal attraction. Only put one point into scent tinkerer, dazed and confused, and fatal attraction to be able to spend all your points the best way.

Perks.

Rifles- Max out everything except windage. You can get Focused shot if you use iron sights a lot but you won't have a point to spend some where else. Remember to activate zeroing.

Handguns- Spend one point in everything except Survival Instinct and Quick draw, since these two are useless. Max out lightning hands.

Shotguns- Spend one point in Both eyes open and Body control. Max out Fast shouldering and Recoil management. The other two perks have no use since you'll have zeroing activated instead.

Archery- Don't spend anything here. Everything is just about useless. I've had great success with bows without any of these perks.

and zeroing just means that the rifle will shoot centre of your crosshair at whatever distance it says

so if it's zeroed to 300nitll hit centre on 300 but if it's zerod to 150 it'll hit centre at 150

Yeah they do I’m just confused as to why they’ve left the home range, or if they actually just haven’t respawned yet. All the guides have said they don’t bounce because of home range and that if foxes start disappearing to do a few different things to try and trigger them to come back but nothing is working

if you get them down to an average lvl 3 then you can easily just start shooting your main zones till a 5 spawns

which really doesn't take too long

and then from there you can continue managing down solos

if you're doing herd management you WILL have to shoot solos, it's just a part of the process

there's no getting around it

It really depends on you. There are no must haves beyond probably tents and ATV unless you like hunting your way from outpost every single time.

Play maps in multiplayer to decide what you like for them

Pick and choose between the rest to suit the way you hunt. Or what looks like the most fun.

Petting is a nicety for those that enjoy it.

The only hard need is telling your dog to stay when approaching birds and some small game.

Bloodhound often needs to be told to stay or it either bumps into you or activates the invalid target error.
