Hi. I am completely new to call of the wild. I can't get any kills. Shot a black bear. It ran. Was tracking it and tracking it forever and ever and lost it. Any weapon to one shot kill animals? I just bought the bolt action rifle bundle, scope bundle, and the hunting dog bundle. Hope I'm not wasting money.

any weapon is a one shot kill weapon, but it depends on the class. you can shoot a bear with a .22lr but it will feel like youre tickeling him. this is why classes are a thing in cotw(https://thehuntercotw.fandom.com/wiki/Category:Animal_by_class) each round has a class rating, and each animal has a class rating, .243 for example is class 2-6, while a black bear is class 7. which means the bear will 1: lose integraty if it dies 2. is less likely to die because the bullet is to weak to penetrate and damage vital organs

also its important to actually shoot vital organs

which is the lungs, heart, liver, brain and neck (brain will spoil your trophy rating for animals which have trophy skulls though)
