So Penetration =/= Damage?, but the fact that it says one more class tells me it does more dmg - or is it just important to get the right scores? I thought about using one of the rifles for 4-7 and for 8&9 to use .300 or .375

but 7mm rem mag has more energy and velocity although its a smaller diameter

at the muzzle 7mm is like 3200ft lbs of force, 308 winchester is aout 2600 when looking at similar loads

I used to do that all the time on Layton, especially with the coyotes. I would sit on those large rocks and call them and see them trotting in

1600 kills into my red deer grind and finally got my zones shot down about 2-3 hundred kills ago... within the last 100 kills my spawns have been nuts, 8 diamonds, and 2 trolls in a little over 100 kills, is this a good sign that the heard management is working and does the spike in big respawns mean an increasing chance of a GO spawning in (ofc not by much but at least an increased chance)

Recommend reading in the tutorial section of the codex and doing few missions on starter maps then if you're struggling with shooting go to the shooting range on Hirsch it's on the long island on the right bottom and just run around and shoot stuff

If you have any hunting experience or basic knowledge helps a ton learning where to shoot to kill a animal is good to know

well if you're using the pointer for classes 1-5 you sorta need to already know where an animal is because it's max search range is like 100m for small and medium

the most reliable way to find animals is to just find their need zone locations and each day go back to the need zone marked on your map around the time it says and the herd should be at that need zone again

you don't need to be teleporting to tents and setting the time every 10 minutes with hunting blinds and stuff

you can just return to the location duration the set time for the need zone that's sorta how you locate animals again

because as long as you don't create a dead zone or kill too many animals in the group they'll always be at that need zone at some point within the time it says

There is no "best" loadout, but my 2 main ones I use are the 300/Fors Elite/Kullman 22H/Cacciatore and 375/Quist Reaper/Virant 22LR/Cacciatore. These will both cover every class in the game with no overlap and I find they fit my playstyle very well. Enough room for sights & binos and the Foxpro.

Nope, just gotta kep going. My first and only G1 fallow took me 5,900 kills, it got really boring. If you're bored of it, take a break and start another grind, then come back to fallow. You'll more than likely get another one right after that, probably a couple hundred kills or less.

the dots positions vary based on magnification and are not exact to a certain distance especially across many weapons

you need to learn your own way of using the dots if you so use them but most of the time if you have zeroing with centerfire rifles you won't even reach the first dot you'll just be gauging between them

for your rimfires the dots can be useful

I hate this map so much as I have never had any Whitetail at any lake other than the very top portion of the map. No zones, at all. The big lake in the middle is where everything stops. Just the 11 or so lakes above that have Whitetail. That's why I asked a while back if zones are "dynamic" in that no matter how hard I try, there will just be no animals at certain spots.

From what i understand, you pick what zones you want to be main zones. Typically good rule of thumb for them is herd zone, it's in an easy location to see, and you can set up a tripod around 200 meters away and a tent 250 away to be able to run up and shoot off then go get your trophies

But before you fully can get those zones "set up" you need to pick 8 other zones you do not want to be using as "main zones" and shoot those down to be level 1-small 2s

I would recommend checking out a few streamers such as Lady Legend for their GO guides on specific animals, I watched her fallow grind w/ herd management and w/out herd management

I believe low level 3s can be left alone as well! Like if they've got a level 2 rack but they're shown as a level 3

well both are legal for whitetail as both include class 4 in their ratings

the only time I would sorta be hesitant on using a legal caliber is if it's something super underpowered for the class that it's "techncially legal for" like using 223 (2-4) for whitetail or 6.5mm (4-8) on moose (it just takes longer to down the animal or can underpenetrated)

but I mean they still work

So I was looking into polymer-tips (penetration) and soft-points (expansion) and I think I have an idea on their purposes:

• When firing at the side of an animal that isn't too "tough" for your caliber, use soft-points
• When firing at the front or the back of the animal, use polymer-tips
• When firing at the upper class bracket of the ammo (aka at "tough" animals), use polymer-tips
• When firing through bone, use polymer-tips
• When firing at the heart, use soft-points
• When firing above the effective range of your gun/ammo, use polymer-tips

Hey guys. I'm doing a black bear grind doing the "four lake method". All of my exteriors are shot down. My first grind I was getting close to 18 bears per rotation (not per time change) but now im only getting like 7-8 sometimes I'm lucky to get 10. What do i do? It makes the grind go by super slow. I'm sitting at close to 600 kills, 19 dimes, 4 trolls, 3 rare furs, and one super rare.

18 is ALOT per rotation

when your fully managed down you should have around 8-12 shooters

so you having 7-10 is somewhat normal, make sure you check lakes around the area for bouncers

because you could be missing a bear or 2
